Green Valley's organic Peas are cultivated in the U.S. heartland by multi-generational, U.S. farmers on family-owned farms located in the fertile regions of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa. This is a prime growing region for Peas with fertile soil and an ideal combination of sun and rain fall. Our proprietary seed is cultivated in Idaho. Seasonally grown means that every year, typically in April, we plant our Peas and then let them grow and mature for just a few months until June when the harvest begins. Peas have a relatively short season compared to say our Sweet Corn. Sometimes weather and field conditions shift dates around yet in a normal year all our Peas are fresh harvested, shelled and prepared, sealing in their appealingly tender, succulent texture with a creamy, sweet, smooth and faintly nutty taste by July. We are focused on delivering the highest quality delicious Peas. To do this we must battle the unpredictability of the weather.
