Awesome picture quality and packed with features
After having used Canon DSLRs for years and was never convinced I needed to go mirrorless. I was wrong and I don’t think I’ll ever look back. This camera is so compact yet very, very powerful. Fast burst rates, face tracking, eye tracking, flip screen and the list goes on. It’s fantastic value for intermediates compared to the cost of full frame units. You’ll never tell the difference when looking at pictures on iPhones and iPads. I like it’s discrete look for street photography and day to day family shots. The kit lens is sharp, fast and has IS but low light and Bokeh is not it’s strong point. I’ve also bought a mount adapter to use my 50mm 1.8 STM. This should be everything a keen photographer needs.

Feature-laden, lightweight and compact, with superb picture quality
A superb, very capable mirrorless offering from Canon. It does so much more than it’s designation of ‘entry level’ would suggest. As a hobbyist photographer I have jumped ship from a Fujifilm X-T10 with kit zoom to this, as I wanted a system whereby I could actually afford some prime lenses. It doesn’t feel like a step down at all. In fact, any snobbishness about touch screens and lenses without aperture rings is completely swept away after 30 minutes shooting with this little gem, coupled with the stellar Canon EF-M 32mm f1.4 I bought at the same time.I’d recommend getting the Canon EF to EF-M adapter too, opening up the world of EF and EF-S lenses to your M system. I have a secondhand Canon EF 100mm f2 on the way: a compact telephoto lens which should sit nicely on the M50.Highly recommended.

Just IMPRESSED
When I decided to buy this camera, I was just sceptic, so I had first to make sure reading reviews and watching videos about the product...It came very fast, after a couple of days, and it was for me, breath taking! This is a semi professional camera which allows you to take very good pictures and the beautiful thing (well it's all beautiful) it's that it's not heavy! It's very comfy in your hands, and with the adaptor for the lenses, you can use all the lenses that you like.I will update the video part, I have to buy a good gimball soon...I'm very happy with it, totally suggested!

Lightweight and easy to use.
I've owned DSLR's for many years and bought this as an introduction into mirrorless and for it's compact size. The ergonomics are very different from professional DSLR's so the transition isn't a natural one. However after a few hours use manual control of this camera became easier. There's lots of features that where new to me and many are totally unecessary but I'm sure they'll appeal to some.A few disappointments firstly the silent shooting only works in scene mode and isn't available in manual or any of the priority modes which is completely bizarre.AF eye detection seems to be in it's infancy in this camera. It does a decent job but you have to make sure the subject stays still it doesn't track after focus lock. For the price, portability and image quality this is a very nice camera. I think some of the features are a carrot on a stick but it is an entry level camera and a damn good one.

Lightweight and easy to carry. Great Video and Picture quality!
I really like this Canon M50 because of the amazing picture quality as well as the video quality. This camera is also light and not heavy to carry which is great for taking it anywhere. The auto focus on this camera is really good, once you tap your face on the screen it will lock onto it automatically and track your face and eyes even while you are moving. However the batteries of this camera do not last very long. Probably 235 camera shots they would last. So I would recommend getting another battery. There is also a beginners mode which is good for beginners and also there is a eco mode that will help save the charge of the battery by turning off the screen when not in use and other things. Also there is 4K video on this camera but when it is on 4K the frames of the camera zoom in and the camera is not in full frame, and while the camera is on 4K the autofocus of the camera does not work very well, however there are some ways 4K can be used and still look great by putting the camera to manual and changing the settings of the video, to help you better I recommend going to YouTube and seeing how other YouTubers deal with the 4K issue and make it look great on the Canon M50. Overall this Camera is really good and I like it a lot as it’s lightweight and easy to carry and because of the video quality, picture quality and is packed with a lot of features!!

This is a great camera for both photography and video!
The Canon M50 is a great camera for anyone wanting to learn photography or shoot videos for YouTube etc.It can be used in auto mode for absolute beginners, but it comes into its own when you switch it to manual. There is loads of helpful tuition videos on YouTube that learn you how to make the best of it for various projects.ThinkMedia YouTube Channel would be the first place I'd go to to get started as they have loads of M50 content. In conclusion I really love this camera and it was worth every penny!

Great camera
It is a great camera for beginers like myself. It takes great pictures and it can be manually set up to take semi-professional pictures. Lenses are "cheap" and really compact in size. Battery life isn't that good but there are plenty of third party replacements.
