Sent it back. It was very uncomfortable and really hurt my neck. Couldn’t relax with it on. Had to sit straight up. Not recommended

Great for specific spots!
So my wife gets really tense and knotted up in a couple of different places, and this massager hits one of them perfectly.Great power, heats up incredibly fast with strong heat, motion address rear upper neck and the two groups of muscles on either side of the spine, close to where the shoulders roll up into the neck. The massage heads are rounded and strong, and they really get knots out in those two locations. My wife specifically has the upper neck tension, and this massager worked fantastically for her there. That said, even adjusting the position of hands and pulling in different directions doesn't work to address different areas. This massager in my opinion is pretty much just for those areas, and as long as you are not too tall or have a very long neck/torso, I think it would be a good fit for those with problem areas there. My wife is 5'4," and has a pretty short neck.Charges quickly, holds charge a long time, and BEST of all it is cordless! Have two other similar devices, both corded, and the cordless feature makes a huge difference in comfort when massaging. Controls are intuitive (only 2 settings regardless), but pressure can be adjusted by how you hold the straps. Does require both hands and full attention, no multitasking when using this.Built solid, material all feels nice, especially the massage heads and arm straps. Good quality build and material. All in all, a great massager for the perfect sized people with upper neck issues!

Worth every penny
It was a gift. Person loved it. Just have to adjust it well where you want massage. No complaints about it.

kinda hurts
I can't get this to sit on my shoulder/neck properly and there for it just hurts. One of my kids can get it to sit properly. They thought it felt ok, nothing special. So I'm only giving it 3 stars b/c it's a bit hit or miss.

Feels like hands squeezing!
There is definitely a learning curve when using the Careboda Cordless Shiatsu Neck Massager. The instruction booklet that comes with it is impressive for number of pages but that is because it is written in every language imaginable and doesn't say anything helpful other than explaining what each button does. There are 4 buttons that are for on/off, mode which is normal/needing, heat on/off, and speed low/high. Those would be easy to figure out without a manual. However, the complicated part to me is what to do with the long strap and 2 loops. I couldn't find details anywhere for that so just experimented.First impression was that it was very heavy and hard to position and get it to stay there. I was thinking maybe a 2 star product. Thankfully, I was in a patient mood (which is rare) and stuck with it. I moved to my high backed desk chair so I could then position it where I wanted and lean back to keep it there. I wasn't sure I liked it squeezing my neck at first...what if it squeezes too hard and breaks something? Necks are fragile. But then, somehow it slipped a little and got to exactly the right spot. OMG! I have a huge knot in my neck shoulder area that never goes away and this found it...and put the squeeze on it right where it needed to be. I think I might have heard angels sing because I am pretty sure I have tried almost every type of massager out there without success. If you have ever tried the massagers that have the little rotating metal balls that leave bruises for days, this is not like that. It has nicely padded 'grippers' that squeeze and release. I bruise like a peach and this does not leave marks! But, I still had the problem of keeping it right there and my arms were getting tired of holding them up and pressing to keep it there. So, I experimented with the loops. I found if I put both hands through the loops and push it half way to my elbow and then just let my arms hang, it gives just the right amount of pull to hold it where it needs to be and pressed down enough to get to that hard to get to knot. I have another hard to get to knot to the left of my spine kind of between my shoulder blades and also managed to get it right where it needed to be to do its magic. I'm not going to lie though...it took some work and patience to get it just right. Is it perfect, no. The buttons are located up near your neck so you can't see them to change the settings and it takes awhile to get it in the right spot so you aren't going to want to take it back off to change a setting. So, I recommend paying attention to which button is where before you get it in position so you can use the buttons by touch. The image on them is a little raised, so maybe you can tell them apart by touch, but I can't. Also, I still haven't figured out how to use the long strap the clips together to help with positioning. But, even with these shortcomings, I couldn't bear to knock it down a star since it gets to the knots that no other style of massagers can get to. I definitely recommend it.

Nice, strong, and portable. Just a little cumbersome to use.
The media could not be loaded. I frequently get muscle spasms in my back and have to get physical therapy or massages to ease the discomfort. I have been looking for something to use at home, other than the massage 'hook' I have, that could also work on my neck. This seemed to be what I was looking for and I ordered it.It charged quick and kneads the upper neck area and also the top of the shoulders in the neck area as well. It has a long strap you buckle around your chest then turn it so the massager is in front and lift it over your head so the kneaders sit on your neck and shoulders. The control buttons are mounted on the left side of the part that drapes over your shoulder - you can't see it so have to know what the order of the buttons is or just play with them to adjust the speed, heat, etc. There are 2 straps you can put your arm through that allow you to push down so the massager gets more pressure on the areas you need massaged.Detractors from this:1 - control panel is not visible when in use.2 - massager only reaches 2 areas and you can't really adjust that - it only gets base of skull and top of shoulders. I tried positioning, but couldn't get it to stay in other areas.3 - cumbersome to get on and off.Overall, it is a decent massager other than the 3 minor issues. It works and does a decent job of actually massaging if you only need the limited area it does.
