Civil Aircraft: 300 of the World's Greatest Civil Aircraft (Mini Encyclopedia) Flexibound – Illustrated, 14 Oct. 2017

As I already own an older hardback version of this title, I decided to buy this. As with all these books it is nicely illustrated and the text is concise & informative. Glad I bought this & I shall donate my hardback copy to a local charity shop.

From my particular context and perspective it is a very satisfying and an excellent book that is in terms of the coverage and detail it offered. Furthermore, it comes in a small book form and is comprehensive in the aircraft it covers, that is in history and type. If it had been offered in large hardback that would have been an added bonus.

I am both pleased and disappointed with this book. Pleased because it is nicely illustrated and has some interesting facts with technical specs on each aircraft. It is the aircraft that have not been included that is most disappointing. This is a revised edition published in 2017, it seems reasonable therefore to expect at least the most successful civil aircraft that entered service before 2010 to be included but they are not. Examples, Airbus A320, A330, A340, A350 and A380 all absent. Also no Boeing 767, 777 or 787 and the 747-400 is missing too. Yet several aircraft are included that I think few would claim as a 'World's Greatest Civil Aircraft', such as the Aviation Traders Account, it was cancelled before entering production. Then there are several military (e.g. Boeing KC-97, Dornier 24T), they are military but no Dornier 328 which is civil.This is a very nice book but if you want details on Civil aircraft that have entered service over the past 20 years, this is not the one to buy.

My Grandson loved it! It was fun, not too easy, and he enjoyed it! Took a few days to put together, so he was able to enjoy it! He has been studying airplanes so it was a great way to tie it together!

Trés interessant comme livre car il permet d’avoir un regard rapide sur tout les avions.

It is a good reference for this part of aviation. The book is laid out well. The graphics are well done also. Very pleased to have it on my shelf.
