Tamicon Tamarind Paste 14 ounces

I've used other brands that were more expensive (and harder to find) but I don't detect any difference with this brand. I'm no tamarind expert but my dishes taste the same and that's good. Plus it's readily available.

Not as tangy or thick. Too runny and requires a lot of it.

The product description indicates a 16 ounce unit however, the product I received is only 14 ounces. It is also advertised as "Tamarind Paste" but what I received was "Tamarind Concentrate" which is not the same thing. I will make it work because I do not have another 48 hours to wait for a replacement. The product itself may be just fine and I may update this review after I have used it in a few days. UPDATE -7/06/17 Despite the label indicating 14 ounces instead of the described 16 ounces AND the description being "Tamarind Concentrate" instead of the described "Tamarind Paste", the product quality, taste, and texture worked out superbly in my Jamaican style Jerk Chicken recipe. I entertained well over 30 guests over the 4th of July holiday and received compliments from nearly every single guest without one critique. One person even said they thought it was "even better than last year".
