Good quality calligraphy markers
I have been writing in calligraphy for over 25 years and have used a variety of calligraphy pens and markers. I really like these calligraphy markers compared to other brands of calligraphy markers. Each marker is double-sided with one 2mm and one 5mm felt tip. This is a nice and practical feature. I prefer to use the small tip most of the time. This set includes six pure black markers. I use these markers for scrapbooking and for writing names on the envelopes of greeting cards and invitations. The ink is acid free, photo safe and archival quality which makes the markers perfect for scrapbooking. Calligraphy on envelopes always looks elegant and sophisticated. I often receive compliments on my writing. Many recipients of my cards and invitations say they save the envelopes.I would like to note that I used fountain calligraphy pens for many years. The ink flows smoothly and the writing looks sharp. However, there are disadvantages to using fountain pens. First, the ink in fountain pens is not colorfast and fades with time. Second, the ink I used was not labeled as acid free, photo safe or archival quality. Third, the ink in the nib will dry and clog the nib if not used for a while. This was actually my biggest pet peeve. As I was not using the pens regularly, I would often encounter this problem. Lastly, fountain pens can sometimes be messy. They can leak for a variety of reasons.I highly recommend the Zig Memory System Calligraphy Markers. I also recently bought a four pack of colored Zig Memory System Calligraphy Markers. I plan to buy a larger set with more colors in the future.

Great find for learning CALLIGRAPHY Techniques
great FOR ENVELOPES. Felt nib holds up pretty well. Good find! Needed something to teach Calligraphy in a workshop that was simple and easy, before they moved into fancier nib pens. EXCELLENT

Best for large scale calligraphy
These markers have a very broad tip-broader than I realized so get out a large piece of paper to use these and get the full force of the tip. The ink flows without any difficulty and is a very dark black. As I'm still fairly new to the world of calligraphy I've been using these markers to fine tune my lettering. The ink seems to run out pretty much as the tip starts to soften. I recommend these for anyone who wants to practice larger scale lettering for signs etc. The small tip is more like a regular felt tip pen, I don't feel like I'm doing calligraphy with the narrow tip. It's better for journal writing, addressing letters and smaller scale projects where nice looking lettering, not calligraphy per se, is a plus. All in all, great practice pens.

Here's a tip about tips
I use the dual tip marker for my illustration work, and it's excellent. The job it does is worth 5 stars, but it has one drawback: the thick tip dries out long before the small tip, so I am left with a bunch of pens that work at one end but not at the other. I think this could be improved if the manufacturer created separate wells to more evenly balance the life of the pen. So: quality-wise, five stars; life of usage, three stars = four stars.(I should mention that as a viable alternative, Sharpie makes a Chisel Tip permanent marker that lasts longer and is, for practical purposes, just as dark, thus worth carrying along with your Zig pens. Here, too, there are a couple of shortcomings, but easy to live with: one is the typical acrid smell that Sharpie and many other permanent markers have, which at least lets you know what you're inhaling, and the other is that it has a quality of being more easily absorbed into the paper stock, which means that it will soak through to the page under it unless the paper is substantial enough to keep it from doing that. From my experience, I think to be safe you'll need a minimum 80-lb. stock or maybe less if the stock is coated. If in doubt, try before you buy.)

Beautiful clear calligraphy!
I use these pens to write on the back of photographs. I wanted archival quality ink that would last for generations and not fade with time. I am extremely pleased with these pens! I use the more narrow tip for my purposes but there is also a wider tip on the other end of the pen. You don't have to know how to do calligraphy to use this pen - the effect is beautiful and looks very special. The pen pack arrived in perfect condition. Well worth the money to me.

Updated review
Update: I apologize to the seller for leaving a bad review. The ink on one did run out quickly and yes, one fell apart. With that being said, I since learned that the type of paper you use actually absorbs more ink and can fray the tips. Since I changed the paper I was using they actually work quite well. I really wanted the dual ended pens to work. Again, my sincere apologies to the seller and I would definitely buy again.
