Self Contained Receptacle - Tamper Resistant - Includes Cover Cap and Mounting Screws - White

Great idea poorly executed. I would like to give this plug a high rating but I can't. The design is very innovative but the manufacturing is very poor. The main assembly of the unit I received was attached at a slight angle to the top component which contains the plug-in. The result is that the sides cannot attach properly and I will need to tape them shut. Two of the wire mounting screws would not budge, even with full strength being applied. Finally, the "tamper proof" receptacle is VERY difficult to actually plug and unplug into. The design is very clever but the assembly is so bad that I am surprised the flaws were not caught before shipping.

I bought this because of the uniqueness of the design. This is going outside to be placed in an inverted dry place for a wreath. It will be used for Christmas.It appears to be well built regarding the plastic parts. I have a concern with the 3 brass landing plates for the ground, neutral, and line (there is a pair for parallel circuit configuration). The gauge of the plates appears to be pretty thin. Some genius in design saved a penny or two in manufacturing cost on arguably the most important component on this thing. AND the lug screws are uncomfortably tight on arrival. I'm going to chase the threads with a tap cause I'm that kinda guy. I hope this review helps.

I love this product. These receptacles are the perfect solution for a hiding-in-plain-sight outlet need. I’ve used them in several places: inside a built in bookcase, on my kitchen island, inside kitchen cabinets, on shelf ledges, etc. They are great. These are incredibly simple to install, if you know how to wire a standard outlet you could wire these. The plastic cover that comes with them attaches by two plastic prongs sticking into the receptacle, which is easy to break off if you’re not careful when taking the cover on and off.

This outlet works fine. Purchased as an un-assuming outlet for our kitchen island. It matches nicely with our walnut cabinetry. No issues at all with installation etc. A little big but a more contemporary, sleek alternative was way more $$$ than what I was willing to pay for an outlet. Regardless though, it is nice and with the cover nobody would ever know it is there unless they were looking for it.

Loved the sleekness, the obscure look. Able to forgo obvious receptacles. Worked fine, now am unable to insert plugs, will not work. I have called them 3 times and have never spoken to anyone nor received a call back.

So popular it's selling well above MSRP.However, there is no alternative.Super easy to install. Looks great.Most importantly places power where needed and wife likes it.
