My Shihtzu was a bit of a mess before cutting, the breed has hair not fur and lots of down which mats easily. So when I first started using this clippers this evening I struggled a bit and it took a long time to get a cut because he was overloaded. I found that removing the gauge guard helped to cut through his thick heavy coat, a simple brush then trimming up against the hair direction worked. The clippers are really sharp but by design do not cut skin as I tested it on my hand. The pictures show a nice cut, so now I’ve got a decent pair of clippers I’ll trim him regularly. The multi speed function is good and the lead length is exceptional. It comes with 4 length guides, a spare blade, oil and a brush. The length guides are easily clipped on and off as needed. Some reviews state the guides slip off but they don’t if you attach them properly. I’m happy with this product.

There are 4 cocker spaniels in our family, Ted the eldest at 10 who weve had from a pup the rest are rescues, Amber is around 4, Chance who is approx 2 years old and Charlie our latest rescue who is no older than 18 months. Ted and Chance both have longer more wire like hair and seems to matt very easily under the armpits and ears. Amber and Charlie havent been with us long enough to need cutting yet.We used the WAHL trimmers (I will say that I have several different branded clippers all with similar designs to the Wahl so will only mention the one brand going forward but have found most were all the same to work with) with Ted last month and it was a tedious awkward affair. The Wahl clippers just didn't want to go through the bottoms of the tats at all and the job took approx 3 hours to complete.This week we used the CGOLDENWALL clippers and it took under 2 hours which is great and a little less stressful for Chance who had been abused constantly in his previous existence at a puppy farm.The speed dial helped turn down the noise, while it isn't silent it certainly helped ease his anxiety a little. One annoyance I will mention is the location of the power button which others have also stated. Its right in the middle of the handle and gets in the way constantly when trying to angle around the dogs coat. My advice to the manufacturer would be to remove the button altogether or put some sort of trigger cover over it so it cannot be mistakenly switched on or off. The wooden finish is unnecessary also, black ABS plastic would be fine.Overall it was worth the £70 or so pounds, the attachments are a little different to fit than traditional clippers but isn't necessarily a good or a bad thing, just different. They cut through tats really well (still not sheep sheer speed, but much improved over other brands Ive tried).

O m g these are the best clippers Iv ever usedIv got a red and black poodle and Iv tried them all and nothing would go through the hair like these didThey did it in half the time fantastic quality the blade stays cool as long as you stop to oil as. Advised. Lovely caseAbsolutely loved themI paid £89 for these and worth every pennyI bought some others off Amazon and they were over £120 and they woudnt even cut the hair at all So these will be a god send.Thank you for your product

These are the best clippers I've ever had and I have tried a lot, shaved my curly haired dog with ease, he's a nightmare to clip and needed something that would go through curl and matting, which these did with ease. I will say that I was unable to use the comb attachment, but due to the type of hair I never have been able to on any I have tried, therefore it's down to the skin but its a nice smooth cut, not to heavy and easy to get at all the odd angles, nice long lead as well

This is not good I’ve used twice the first time although I had a comb on it scalped my dog, I thought it was me so asked my partner to set up today for another cut and the thing didn’t cut at all. The instructions are pretty basic and I’m really not happy with the product. It states that the return window is closed but I would like you to consider the return of this product as it doesn’t work for me. I want to add to this review that Amazon were excellent and has agreed to the return and refunded. Once again, Amazon's great customer service. Thank You

They plastic comb gets easily clogged with hair, but it is powerful and good for the price. It would be better with metal combs

I find them very good they do their job very well a nice clean cut and are very quate this is a plus in my book as it doesn't upset my dogs.The combs are easy and quick to change,The only thing I don't like is the on-off switch is not in a good place as I keep accidentally turning it off when I move the clippers around in different angels. I would like to have the full set of combs for clippers can you please let me know how to purchase them.
