Easy to Use, Great Results
UPDATE: Customer service was great. Colleen hooked me up with a replacement blade set which was pretty easy to replace myself. I've been doing my own haircuts for the last ~10 months, so I've probably already saved at least double what I paid for this clipper. Totally worth it. The only downside is it's a messy process, which I deal with by doing 90% of it outside and then just finishing up the details over the sink.----Like another recent reviewer, my clipper came with a broken "blade". It's really just the fixed metal comb attached to the clipper. I contacted Wahl to see if I can get the part replaced. Depending on how that goes I'll either add or remove a star. Aside from that, the clipper works incredibly well. It cut very smoothly and there was absolutely no pulling or anything. Things were getting pretty dire with all the barber shops and salons closed, so I was prepared for getting just a "buzz" cut. I have a few friends who cut their own hair and that's what they do and what I was expecting. I was surprised to discover that it was actually really easy to keep my usual style which is shorter around the sides and longer on top. The various plastic guards that come with this clipper make it pretty fool proof. I went with the #5 around the sides and #8 on the top and it came out great. The rest is just cleaning up using the tapered ear guards and the bare clipper for sideburns and neckline. It took me awhile this first time as I was scared of the potential damage I could do. But really, next time I think it will be a piece of cake. Just be prepared for a big mess of clipped hair when you're done. I think next time I'll try to just do it outside. Even doing it over the sink it took a while to clean up all the hair. The biggest downside is the lack of a charge indicator. The battery supposedly lasts for 2 hours but you really have no way of knowing for sure that it will have enough juice to finish the job unless you charge it up before each time you use it and you don't know when it's full. That would be the worst running out in the middle of the job. But it supposedly has a 15 minute "quick charge". So I plan on just leaving it plugged in overnight the night before I do my haircut. Also the power button is a little weird and if it gets pressed slightly while running the power cuts out. But the power button is out of the way when you're holding it normally so it isn't really an issue.Overall it's a wonderful device. Easy to use. And I got great results despite having zero experience. I'll probably never go to the barber again. So this clipper will easily pay for itself after just the first couple of cuts. Just really hoping Wahl support takes care of my part that came broken.

Say no to cords
UPDATE:These clippers are now inoperable after 9 months. The power button is faulty and has been faltering for some time. Today, the unit finally stopped working altogether.I'm torn. I love the weight, convenience and performance of these clippers, but unsure if I should buy again or go try another brand.Handle these with care if you buy. Good luck!---------I've been using a corded hair clipper like this for 15 years. And the last one I had finally died. So I took the plunge and went cordless. It's so much better. Easier to manage. I've only used this one a couple times so I can't speak to its longevity. But it feels great in the hand and does a great job with the hair. You've got all the attachments and it's powerful enough. The odd thing is there's no LED indicator that the unit is charging when it's plugged in.There's just no power LED period. I thought that was weird. Otherwise this is great and I would recommend.

Love Wahl Clippers!
I cut my own hair. As such, I've used a range of products from both Wahl and Andis. While Andis is obviously a higher quality premium product (with a premium price tag), for whatever reason, I keep going back to my Wahl clippers. It's something about the lighter weight, shape, and the clipper motor feel that makes me more comfortable to use over the Andis, at least for the main clippers (I still use Andis as my edge trimmer). Also, when you treat them properly (avoid dropping them, oil them before every use, etc), they last forever. I've used the standard Wahl clippers almost my entire adult life, but I decided to jump to the wireless version to free up some movement, and so far, so good!A couple things I noticed about these vs the corded version that knock it down a star:- The sound of the motor clicking on and off is a little clunky and inconsistent. Sometimes the motor fires up smoothly, sometimes it clunks and stutters, especially when shaking the clippers, but so far nothing has come of it during the actual cutting process. I'll keep an eye on it in terms of longevity and durability. The motor itself does seem louder, but probably from the difference in internals.- There is no LED indicator for the battery. I just leave my plugged in when I am not using it so it's not a problem, but it feels strange to have a wireless product without any indication that the battery is charging/charged/etc.- The internals are obviously different so the balance of the clippers in hand are noticeably different, so it will take some getting used to when flicking in short motions, and just handling the clippers in general.Other than that, they seem up to par with my experiences with the standard corded Wahl clippers which I've had good experiences with.

Great value, long battery life
I'm a complete clipper novice, so I have nothing to compare this to, but I can definitely say that this clipper set is easy to use! I use it 2-3 times a month to trim my hair, and it's given a relatively clean cut each time. The attachments are easy to attach and detach, so it doesn't take me much time. The battery life is also amazing! I fully charged the clippers when I got them in April, and have used them maybe eight or nine times since then, but I still haven't had to re-charge! I assume I'll have to plug them in soon, but overall they've done a great job. The blade get a bit warm the longer you have them turned on, but I would only expect that to be an issue if you needed to use them for multiple people in a row. For a quick 20-30 minute cut (turning it off occasionally), it works very well.My one suggestion would be to get a cape or use a towel to cover the back of your neck-- this kit doesn't come with one, and it gets itchy if you don't use anything at all.
