It isnt easy to apply to a surface and doesnt do much for what I required it for, but it does help to an extent. I wouldn't recommend it for high acoustical control.

I was ignorant of how much 40 square feet covers. I was an idiot posting that it only covers 4 sq feet, when it in fact covers 40. I wish I could change my earlier review. the dimensions below are exact.My foam was 72" wide X 80" wide.72" divided by 12" = 6FT80" divided by 12" = 6.6FT6FT x 6.6FT is 39.9 Sq Feet!

People are idiots if they don't understand what this is (see other reviews). It will not silence your neighbors, it is medium/light foam--good for stopping high and midrange reflections--that's it. It's just as described, good price, and shipped much faster than estimated.

I'm sure it would work fine if you got it to keep your own noise contained, but it does not dampen neighbor noise in an apartment buliding in the least :(
