For a few bucks more, you can get this top notch clipper. It is solid metal with a heavy well fitting feel -- not loose and off center like cheap clippers. The handles are elongated to give it greater leverage and that works. The clipper head is tilted back to make clipping easier while holding the clippers opposed to the nail. One use amply demonstrates the the cutting heads are sharper than ordinary resulting in an easy clean cut that does not fling fragments everywhere like ordinary clippers. This is the first nail clipper I've seen that expressly discloses the steel of which it is made -- 440C. I'm a "knife guy" and specifying the steel is common in knives now, but clippers -- that's new to me. By the way 440C is a very good steel -- more than adequate for a good quality knife. Having the clippers made of a good steel further enhances the likelihood that they will clip well and stay sharp for for a long time. All these design improvements combine to make what is by far the best nail clipper I've ever encountered. For a few dollars more these allow you to avoid all the aggravation and pain from a cheaper set of clippers and the clipping is easy, neat and accurate. Highly recommended.

First, If you want to get this as a gift it comes in a beautiful little box, very high-quality. I tried them out very carefully because I didn’t know how sharp the Clippers were. I’m glad I did because they are very sharp. That turned out to be a very good thing. They definitely work better than normal clippers.I thought that the handle could’ve been longer (like it seemed in the photo) for more ease of gripping the handle.. At first I had to work at hanging onto it but with time it became easier. Once you get used to it it is no problem. They are definitely easier to cut toe nails than the usual kind. I would buy them again and they did a great job cutting my very thick toenails! It comes in a quality gift box.

If you have a kind of hard time reaching your toes, these are great. I have back and knee and hip issues, and although I can trim my toenails with scissors, or clippers, it is very difficult and maybe a little dangerous! The handle for these is about 2.25 inches long and easy to use, with them I can easily trim my toenails. They don't have a spring, so you have to set them up for each clip which I suppose is a little annoying, but not really a bid deal. That said, if you have a REALLY hard time reaching your toes or you can't at all, this product might not work for you. Someone should invent some with a 12" handle lol. I guess those are hedge trimmers. But if they had a tiny little toenail blade they'd work great! Maybe :)

These clippers are as sharp and easy to use as advertised. I had no idea how much easier it would be to cut my toenails with good sharp clippers. In fact, they are so sharp my husband clipped a bit of skin off the end of one toe! USE WITH CARE! I'd give them five stars, but the slide-on gizmo that's supposed to hold the clippers shut pops back off and is useless, not to mention that it would probably get lost after the third time we used these. So they are going to bang around with those sharp edges exposed, which may mean they'll get dull sooner.
