These little fish are so cute! We bought them to go with the “reef” and the “ball” for our granddaughter. She absolutely loves playing with them! We will be buying her more fish to add to her set. Such a fun toy!

I got these for a Fish obsessed child that I have, and they are more weird than they are cute. They make weird noises and zoom all over the place on hard floors. I don’t have the obstacle course that they are meant for, and I realize that that’s part of it, but it is also obvious that there are some real design flaws.There are three ‘on’ buttons, that are hidden inside the fish and I just have to feel around until I hit them. And there is no hard off switch. Which means that if I leave the batteries in they make these weird noises at 2 AM from the bottom of the toy bin. But it’s not easy to change the batteries, so either the batteries get taken out permanently or left in permanently until they die. They remind me of a certain furry animal toy that I had growing up that would wake me up at 3 AM asking me to feed it.They are kind of creepy, really annoying, very pretty, made really well, and I really don’t recommend.

When I originally ordered two other pieces I didn’t not realize it did not come with the fish. So when Imy granddaughter opened her present she could not play with it. I ordered the fish and within two minutes they broke. They would not roll.

Both fish came with a sticker on the cloth that was extremely difficult to get off without damaging it. After removing the stickers both appeared to have significant wear in the place where it was located at. The sticker was placed on the fish by the manufacturer to show where the power button is located.The fish struggle to stay upright for long periods of time without tipping to the side and losing contact between the wheels and the ground of the starter kit. Overall, I’m pretty disappointed with the product however, my child does still seem to enjoy playing with them.

You need to purchase these battery operated fishes for the beginner kit for the zhu zhu aquarium. Otherwise the aquarium would be useless, in my opinion.
