5-star, as long as they send it with the beeper removed.
I recently purchased a Nexus 7 tablet to replace a Motorola Xoom I use as an alarm clock as well as to browse the web, read books and magazines and surf news sites. Because the device is my primary alarm, the Xoom had always been on a dock on the bedside table. One challenge with the Nexus is the location of the charging port (on the side when in landscape orientation) is the lack of landscape docks. Enter the KiDiGi Wireless Charging Dock. I hoped this device would also solve one of my biggest gripes about the Xoom dock...it was a pain to get docked. Enough of a pain that I barely undocked it at all so it was soon relegated to just being an overpriced alarm clock. When I got the KiDiGi dock, I was very impressed with the quality of the device. It has some good heft so it will not slide around when docking and undocking. It's matte black plastic looks and feels nice. Best of all, since it is wireless, there are no docking connectors. Simply sit the device on the dock to charge it and take it off to use it. Truly effortless docking and undocking. By far the most convenient dock I have ever used. In order for the wireless charging to work, the dock has an angled back that sticks up to support the dock and position the wireless charging "pad" so that it matches up with it's sister pad inside the back of the Nexus 7.Initially, the USB Wall adapter shipped with the dock was too small (1.5Amp), causing it to annoyingly disconnect and reconnect every 10 or so minutes. While the KiDiGi folks have a replacement 2.1Amp adapter on the way, I used one of my own and it fixed the problem so I am confident their replacement will as well.Overall, the dock works great. You might ask why I only rated it 3 stars. I hate to say it, but it has an inconceivable, obvious flaw that takes an easily 5-star device and nearly kills it...I am still considering returning because of it. Each time you dock, the unit beeps to alert you that it made the connection. Should not be a problem, right? Normally no, but these designers apparently decided to source their speaker from the same company that makes them for smoke detectors. I am not exaggerating when I say the beep from the dock is nearly as loud, and just as annoying as your smoke detector. It is so similar, in fact, that it scares both of my dogs, just like my smoke detector's beep does. Every time I dock, both my dogs run for cover and shake like a leaf. It simply amazes me that the designer did not consider how much better it would have been to put a pleasant sounding notification beep in the device versus the loud, shrill beeper to they chose. In the end, if you or the user are deaf, I 100% recommend this product. It works great. If you can hear, however, you should be aware of what you are getting into. Expect a jarring sound that will wake anyone in the room, if not in the room down the hall, every time you use it. If your dogs or other pets are frightened by smoke detectors or battery backup beeps, this device is likely to scare them as well. You should also be aware, it ships from Hong Kong so don't expect fast delivery. For Hong Kong, it was pretty quick at about two weeks. And their support was acceptable. While they did not respond to my first support request, a second one sent two days later letting them know I was going to return it was promptly returned and they and they sent me a replacement adapter (from Hong Kong) to resolve the issue. They dodged the question about the annoying beep. I suspect that is because they know how terrible it is but there is not much they can do about it in the field.I have not decided if I want to send it back for a refund or give up my warranty by opening it up and removing the beeper. I have decided that I cannot keep it without eliminating the beep...I can't imagine how anyone could. Since there is nothing else on the market like this, I may not have a choice but to fix their design issue the old fashion way...with my own screw driver and soldering iron. :)11-13-2013 UPDATE: KiDiGi contacted me tonight and said they are sending a replacement dock with the beeper removed. If that happens, I will update this review with the details and a revised rating. If past shipping times are an example, I should have it in two to three weeks.1-24-14 Update: I received the new dock with the speaker removed and it is great. It was actually delivered just after Christmas but I did not get to the post office until today to pick it up. The new dock is identical to the original, but it does not beep when the Nexus 7 is inserted. If you order it, I suggest asking them to remove the beeper unless they have changed the sound since November. Without the annoying beep, you can't beat this dock!

Perfect for wireless charging.
This is a great option for me since I use my Nexus 7 as a bedside clock. The unit preforms well and Kidigi did a great job in addressing my concernsof the loud beep when inserting the tablet. Mine arrived with that beep removed.I'm not sure if the current seller is the one I ordered from but mine came for outof the country and it took a little while to get here. You know when your excitedabout getting something that wait can be longer then it actually is. .This is also a good option if you plan on expanding your memory on the Nexus 7since it does not have SD card expansion. I use the following product which canalso be ordered here on Amazon.http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GLL40SA/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1You can charge the tablet while inserting a micro SD card in the above product. You may also want to look into Nexus media importer which you can get on the play store. If your looking for a good option to charge your Nexus 7 2013 then this is the product for you!

It worked like a charm
Got the item quickly.... It was packaged well... Opened it up, plugged it in... and set the Nexus in the cradle... It worked like a charm... But, after a few hours, the trouble began... Daydream would stop working.... The flashing charge light on the front of the unit wouldn't stop flashing, even if the tablet was removed... So.. I reached out to KiDiGi.... asked nicely if by chance I got a defective unit or was I doing something wrong.... no answer.... As much as I like the unit, I am hoping to hear from them or I will have to package the thing up to return...

Great accessory for people who hate wires. Excellent on a night stand.
Perfect as a bed stand dock. I use my Nexus 7 as a radio / alarm / ebook reader. It trickle charges in that it charges very slowly, which is why i do it overnight. As mentioned in previous reviews, it only charges in Landscape mode. It's an awesome accessory, that does that little thing of really cutting the last wire, to be completely wireless. It's a small thing, but for a wireless accessory like a tablet, to be really wireless is nice.About the quality...It's OK... For the price of the unit the power brick seems cheap, and I suspect the coil and internal components are on the cheap side too. I guess i'm used to the the power regulator quality of Apple products, which this doesn't come close. Because the Nexus 7 doesn't seem too picky about consistent voltage, it's probably not a big deal. I think if going away for a trip or out if the house it would be wise to unplug the brick. Also, if you live in an area with lot's of lighting, old wireline, or really crummy power supply, think about a small surge protector for this.

Marvelous Product
This product does exactly what it is supposed to do. The charging port on my tablet would no longer accept the charge plug so this is extending the life of my tablet. It has often proven to have other great uses.It is a stand for the tablet so I always know where it is. It holds the tablet while I read in bed. My tablet has become my bedside alarm clock. My tablet is always charged. I would recommend this charger even if your charging port still does work.

excellent dock
This dock is pretty close to perfect. The nexus 7 (2013) fits like a champ and is super easy to insert and remove. I was a bit worried that the sound would be to loud (based on other reviews), but it was just fine - not annoying at all. The only minor critique I have is that it could be a bit distracting having the blinking LED when charging (especially if you keep this on your bedside to use the daydream feature as an alarm clock like I do). But all I had to do was use a black sharpie marker to darken the LED so it's still visible but much dimmer when the lights are off. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase.
