Pressure washers have done a lousy job of standardizing their hardware. I was trying to join two female ends, and they simply would not fit finally after much reading. I found this adapter which solved all my problems. It appears to be necessary, because the fittings are not a standard size, one standard is 15 mm and the other one is 14 mm for thread size this takes care of the problem

Threas are the same on both ends... inside diameters are different being 16 and 14 mm.... threads are 22mmm

I used this to add a thinner hose to my pressure washer and it worked. But now my pressure washer just stutters on and off like its not sure i want pressure. I think going to the smaller diameter is applying back pressure that makes the washer think im letting off the trigger. I have to remove the tip on my gun, wait for the pressure washer to dump out water at the usual rate then snap the tip back on for it to engage properly. The second i let go it restarts the process all over. Very annoying.

Overall a good product but the 15mm ID was a little out-of-round (oval). Not the best machining practice. It was small amount but did not allow the 15mm side to engage to be able to start the thread. Carefully corrected and polished. Once it was corrected and assembled, it worked perfectly. This one may have been just an abnormality.

The product is great. Amazon themselves lied ti me so I won't be using them anymore.

I bough this to attach my pressure washer to a car wash brush (garden hose connector). It did not fit.
