Something needs to be clarified from the other reviews, it does not leak from the hose or pump like I would have assumed from every other review that mentions leakage; the basin that fills up with water and the waterfall ridge are two separate pieces that slide into each other to create the overflowing effect. That is where the leaking happens if there isn't enough weight on the lip to create a tension seal. That's why the package includes it's own silicone sealant, but I had my own clear DAP silicone sealant so I used that instead and I have no complaints as it works just like expected. And if you're like me and intend to put the solar panel more than 8ft from the pump, I needed a 2.1mm x 5.5mm 12V DC male to female extension cord to extend the solar panel 30ft away.Edit: After pond scum build up and mosquito larvae breeding in it, I decided to ditch the solar panel and just run the cord to an outside outlet so it can run 24/7. With a 20v DC plug, it's running stronger than ever. It's been a week and there's no pond scum and no mosquito larvae anymore.

Make sure to keep the pond clean - or at least the area where the pump draws from. We have it in an outdoor pond with the pump surrounded in a cage of chickenwire. No issues whatsoever

The media could not be loaded. Easy to install, but only works when the panels are not in shadows at all. Even my dog running past it will make it stop momentarily. Eventually elevated them so that it happens less. Doesn’t have a battery storage pack so will not pump at night. I’m not sure if a separate battery can be added, but it’s something I will be looking into.When putting in the waterfall tray make sure it is level so that the water can flow out easily.

I hooked my fountain up and there is tiny pin holes all through the hose . I am so disappointed.I had to go get a new hose only to find out that the dumb thing is not working at all properly. I want my money back!

The media could not be loaded. Love this pump, and so do my goldfish! Works and looks great on my homemade patio pond. Even on overcast days it works great with a good strong flow. I cut the tubing to fit better into the tank, so the flow may be a bit weaker with the regular length. But still plenty powerful for what it does. Would 10/10 recommened for your garden pond or decorative water feature. Now I just need to order the battery backup so it pumps all the time. Thanks Popsoap, great product!

The media could not be loaded. Great pump- so great in fact you have to clean out the intake daily!!! Also make sure you use the silicone provided for the waterfall box because it DOES LEAK without it. It is super quiet. I left the tubing in the sun for a few hours as it’s zip tied and very rigid but after that was easy to manage. Video does show I don’t have an overly dirty pond. I have water Lilly’s, hyacinth, water lettuce, and common mosquito grass(?) but yet the intake literally takes in everything even on the lowest setting as shown. Highest setting is a good steady flow so powerful for the small box I got. Would I buy again?- probably but would def read the reviews next time.
