I should have bought these years ago. I finally used them today. Saved me $60 on project I was working on which was made out of plastic. I used these vise jaw protective covers and I had no breaking or marring the threads, perfect. You don't need them until you need them. So go ahead and get yourself a set. You will thank yourself later.

Works as expected

I like these things! I’ve seen the jaws that have all the grooves and notches and I’m sure they’re very handy, but these have a simple crosshatch and perform well. The magnets keep them in place when the jaws are separated and/or rotated. I would like have another set for holding round stock, these really aren’t for that.

They work okay; could use stronger magnets to keep in place on the vice

Bought a pair years ago, and used the heck out of them. Wanted a new pair.

Worked ok for awhile. Magnets are not very strong so they do not hold onto the vise jaws very well. Most of the magnets have broken now just from tightening objects into the vise. I would not buy these again.

I have been using a Bench Vise for a year. However, my concern is denting, marring, or crushing things that I Place into the vise. The solution I had was using silicone strap wrenches, but they tend to get crushed under the pressure of the vise.A friend recommended that I get pads for my bench vise. I never knew that these exist. The integrated magnets keep these attached to my bench vise jaws. The soft material prevents my items from getting damaged. I tried this on my friend’s Glock 23 slide to remove the front sight. It kept the slide on the vise in a stable and secure manner without marring, denting or scratching.I wish I knew about these items sooner. But it’s better late than never.I highly recommend this item.
