A very thick skillet, which retains heat and heats up evenly. Do take note that you need to take an extra care with a non stick skillet (medium to low heat, no metal utensil, etc). Comparing this to the same line as matfer bourgeat non stick skillet, this is a much of a higher quality product. It’s thicker, slightly bigger handles, brand stamping with “made in france” for assurance. For the matfer, it is slightly thinner by 0.5mm (eyeballing), no brand stamp or made in anywhere to be seen, and a smaller handle. Although at the same size, the matfer one has a slightly bigger cooking surface area. The handle do gets hot, but that’s a non issue, this french style cookware will always have that problem, that’s why you always see in the professional kitchen they always have a towel in their hand all the time.I’ve attached 4 pictures, top and bottom of de buyer and matfer bourget. The one with thinner handle and no brand stamp is the matfer.

I love these, bought a few of them in different sizes. They do scratch fairly easily (my stupidity), so plastic and silicon tools only. Also the handles are bubbling from being cleaned in the dishwasher. Better washing these by hand and I imagine they will last for ages.

Very pleased. Great handle, heavy base and a top quality frying pan. A bigger pan will be required for family cooking though. If it's good enough for Hugh Fearnley's working kitchen, it will do in mine.

For such a good pan to be so light and so affordable...you can’t beat it.

Extremely impressed - far better than John Lewis own brand. Follow the care instructions carefully and hand-wash only. Oven-safe and really good non-stick coating.
