Upgrade to this and very pleased with it. Set up was very easy using the app. Nice balanced sound, plenty of volume when you want it. Seems to be a nice solid construction. It comes complete with heavy duty brackets so you can fix it to the wall, if that is where your to is located. Simple linear design.Not the cheapest high end sound bar but matches well with a Bravia TV and Sony sub-woofer. I have rear satellite speakers on order which should improve the setup even more. Overall pleased with the sound bar so I consider it reasonable value for money

A good quantity speaker which was bought with Amazon interest free payments over 12 months which is great and allowed me to purchase it unfortunately as with a lot of Amazon products it came down in price by £200 a short time later, it’s a pity Amazon doesn’t automatically refund you the difference …… within 30 days!

This Sony Bar 8 has good support for audio format and it does have a good enough dialogue clarity, it will sound better than tv built-in speakers especially compared to the sound of not top-of-the-range TVs. Issues are with the expectations for the price, the Soundstage is not wide enough, the soundstage is unsatisfying. The Dolby Atmos rendition feels a bit small, especially in height. The built-in subs only go down to around 50Hz, which probably is ok for the size of the bar but not for my money.The Center Channel rendition is good. Surround effect is below average, not that great.It will work better as part of an expanded system with dedicated satellite speakers and dedicated sub-woofer but that means going towards an overall higher cost. The Sound bar 8, on its own, I find it underwhelming for the price.

It's bloody rubbish. It would not connect to my TV using the app or anything else. I tried for a while week and phoned Sony support all awaste of time

I am enjoying the experience so far. I upgraded from A Q990C soundbar. Sony Quads are more open, wider but they need bass reinforcement, they need a good sub. They are growing on me. Note. not for Kids, Dogs, Cat's - Cats will destroys these, 'Meow'.

i got them in the black friday sale £500 off and was able to pay monthly thanks to amazon , the sound is great ive not had surround sound before and it took a while to get used to the sounds behind me but i love it now. im quite happy with the system

Another amazing product from Sony. An extra subwoofer is required for that extra bass pinch to make sound system complete.
