Okay so I got this for habit control and I'm genuinely shocked at how well it's worked. Setup was straightforward, no faff. I did remove the emergency unlock feature though because honestly what is the point? Been using it for about a month and the battery is still going strong which is a bonus because the last thing you need is your self control device dying on you. It feels solid, does exactly what it says. It's not a conventional approach to building better habits but if you're someone who needs a physical barrier between yourself and whatever you're trying to cut back on, this is genuinely one of the better investments I've made. Saves money long term too once you actually stop reaching for whatever it is your locking away. Would reccomend, just commit to it properly.

This is a great little unit. I wish I could give it 4.5/5. My only gripe is there's no indicator on the unit that tells you how charged it is. No blinking light when you charge it. Other than that, happy with the purchase!

The other cheap plastic ones will break after a few uses, mine luckily failed in the open position and would not lock. I went out of my way finding one with a different design since most of them seem to use the same crappy chinese mechanism and controls. This one struck me as being totally different, and is! I have used it about a dozen times now for various applications and it has never failed to lock or open when it is supposed to. It is an an-metal design so the durability is way above the other cheaper plastic body ones. You can set up to a 99 day lock on this timer, I didn't see that in the description.
