I bought this for a friend of mine. He is about halfway through reading the book, but, so far, so good.

This book is so very interesting. If you like pop music and would like to learn about how the song came about, this book is for you.

Never read Marc Myers columns before so this was a great way to read about how the artist created the songs that I've listened to all my life, still have the albums, and still listening to today. Gave me a new prospective on each song and what the artist was trying to say or how they came up with the songs. Heard him talking on my local radio station and had to have his latest book. Now I have to get his first book written. Great book to have next to all my album collection starting from the 60's until now.
