As much as I love my son, I don't think this was a great choice to get for my youngest's birthday. However, it was an amazing choice when it came to making my son smile. It is fun, and the ease of use is perfect for his 8-year-old mind. The range, size, and functionality is a great value for money. It is a great choice for a birthday gift.

Once you get the pin in place properly it works perfectly.

I bought this for my daughter and she loves it. I’ll toss balloons in the air for her to shoot like we are shooting skeet. Great toy that I bought for my daughter but I find myself playing with also.Pros- has very similar functions to a real break action shotgun.- Very easy for kids to operate on their own.- Has good range.Cons- Because it’s a break action it only has a single metal pin holding the barrel to the stock that with rough play could break it.- The shell holder only mounts on one side of thestock.- Does require some assemble but has clear instructions and are simple to follow.

My 5 year old loves this toy and can do it all by himself. He loves how the shells pop out when he goes to reload and the clip on the side of the gun with extra bullets. Also love how well the little scope actually works!

I got this because I have other blasters with the same shell system and I thought it would be useful to find a good one shot option for the LARP I'm working on. I found it needed parts to be assembled that I found unexpected, and the connections felt a little flimsy. It's a good shot for sure, but I just wasn't super impressed. However at the price it's a very good value for a single shot blaster. I just don't know if I'm in love with it enough to get a bunch more. I'm not a big fan of having to load a shell through the neck and then also pull back a lever to arm it before I can fire. That's a lot! I prefer blasters that either arm the weapon through the action of the neck opening or that have a pump to prime kind of thing going on.

this gun is a great toy - light to carry, engaging. By now, we bought 3 as my kids' friends all love it.
