Very informative as these cards always are.

Can take it when your out and about because it's only 4 pages so its very light. The pages are laminated which is nice because if it's raining the information doesn't get ruined. The pictures are very helpful when identifying ferns. I havn't given it 5 stars because i've had mine about a month and its already started to look a bit tacky on the corners but apart from that it's been a great guide.

The good points are the very durable laminated material, and all the common ferns are included. However, I was disappointed by the illustrations, (no disrespect to Carol Roberts) but photographs would have been better. For me, the single fronds look too similar to make a useful identification. Bracken, for example, is easy to identify in the field by its habit, which is not shown in this single frond. None of the ferns show the pattern of the sori (except Osmunda, which has a very small diagram). The overall habit of a fern is an important factor in identification in the field, and these were not shown. The text-based key is good for use in the lab. But in the field a picture tells a 1000 words. A recommended purchase.

E' utile per determinare le specie più comuni di felci. Le illustrazioni sono belle e molto somiglianti alle specie che si trovano in natura. Il formato però non è l'ideale da usare in ambiente, ma ..... non si può avere tutto E poi il prezzo è molto buono. Peccato che in Italia manchi la sensibilità per fare cose similari.
