EASY TO USE PRODUCT
This product works very well as for the freeze protection and have only tested it in the low 20's. The actual tape, however, does not stick to itself very well, so I recommend wrapping the start and finish with 3M 88 electrical tape, or another rubber tape or it will unravel. Otherwise, it is a good product for South Texas.

100% works!
I didn’t order enough for my project but this would easily work for it’s intended use. The length is sufficient and would work for a std window unit for a portable a/c.For my my project, I wanted to see if I could vent the portable a/c to atm via the dryer vent line running an exhaust line of around 12’ through the garage attic.Note, I have not sealed the attic door nor is the garage properly insulated. Wall temp as of 3PM in sept. is about 88F and garage door not insulated is 94F. So attic heat is dumping into the garage until I actually cut a 4” hole to run the line to the attic. At first, I found out the hard way if the garage is not properly insulated, or the length of the portable a/c unit exceeds say 12’ with sharp bends on then it will cycle 2 mins on and 5 mins off or just not cycle. I’ve verified my hypothesis with a local vendor to swap units to rule out a faulty unit. I can’t believe they let me swap out 4 units.Basically the discharge pressure increases and the compressor will overheat. You can just turn it off and on if it does run but stops after 10 mins but that’s a code for it thermal throttling itself telling you that hey maybe your garage is really hot and this is a bad idea. Yes I probably should’ve gotten a split case but you know what. This is for science and I’m too currently invested otherwise to do so!Nevertheless, I still tested and so far if the garage isn’t too hot it will work properly if I crack the garage door attic to my t splice of the dryer line. I did install a damper to the portable a/c to the split but not on the dryer due to the lint would probably clog there.Thank you for my rant! I will order more unless I can get sponsored some how. I want to cut a hole in the garage but wanted to test to make sure the portable ac would run.

Works well!
Bought this for my above ground freeze proof focet. Below 20 degrees and 11”” of snow and ice on the ground and it’s still warm.

Sump pump lines froze last year, not this year! Great material and easy to work with. Haven’t had a problem since I put it on and still sticking to the pipes after a year!

Getting it to stick requires a PITA workaround.
I just did this today so I can’t speak on cold protection. However, the application is not good. Wrapping this on a pipe was an experience in frustration, as it unraveled as fast as I put it on. It did not stick (even after proper prep of the pipe) to either the pipe or itself. Another customer recommends using electrical tape to keep it on. It would be better if the product just worked without a workaround. I bought this specifically because it was made in USA. I am truly disappointed particularly because a reapplication and readjustment will necessitate I crawl back into my crawlspace in 10° weather. Please— this is a known issue with this product. Use better adhesive! I will upload pics when I crawl back into the crawlspace.

Good quality and works but EXPENSIVE.

Not practical at all
I usually never write reviews but I can tell you for sure that I will never use this product again. In theory the idea is sound. If your AC line is suspended in mid air with no bends and no other lines (or the ground) around it. Otherwise, it’s a headache. It would’ve been quicker and cheaper to just go by the foam insulation and install that instead.
