Bought this as a replacement shower curtain rod, as I got tired of my old one falling down.. This rod seems to be much more flimsy than the old one, probably due to refinement of materials to keep costs down. It also fell soon after installation, I guess that the weight of two curtains (inner lining and outer curtain) gets to be too much when wet.. So I wound up putting "cups" on the wall to help hold the curtain rod up. That has solved my problem.. I guess for the price point, I have no reason to complain..

Loving it so far (just received it today [Feb 2024] but put it up already). Waiting for the matching shower curtain and liner I bought to complete a close to my home's high ceilings look. Can hardly wait! And it looks so much nicer and sleeker than my current shower curtain rod. Beautiful design, great chrome color, easy assembly, and easy-peasy installation, even on textured walls! RECOMMENDWill update after I put the shower curtain and liners on it in two days' time, if not sooner. Then I will know for certain in telling everyone that it works as fit for purpose, while also being extremely aesthetically attractive.UPDATE Tue Apr 29, 2025: The rod fell down again several days ago. This time I purchased chrome finished holder brackets and screwed them into the walls on both sides today with anchors. I have no more worries. I truly believe that my fabric shower curtains (I use two and even one of these curtains is extremely heavy) are too heavy to keep the rod from sliding over time combined with changes in temperature or moisture and this is the perfect solution for me. The rod remains gorgeous and still recommend it!UPDATE Wed Mar 12, 2025: The rod has fallen down several times. My walls are textured so this may be related. I make sure to tighten the rod and to also make sure that is hung level from one side to the other. I still check the rod periodically as I did today after seeing that one side of the shower curtain was dragging the floor when it was not the last time I rehung it which was one month and 3 days ago. I'm using two heavy fabric shower curtains (in addition to 96" PEVA liners) which are 96" long for my high ceilings. I plan to update when and if the rod either falls or slips again, but I do really love the way this rod looks compared to the one I had before which I have moved to another room for hanging a Japanese noren curtain.

t first I thought I had received the wrong product because the box was so short. But when I opened it I realized that this rod comes in sections. It was easy to assemble and holds up very well.
