Instantly grew more chest hair with this on my belt
As a suburban dad I have surprisingly little experience with a machete. For watching Indiana Jones and romancing the stone as a kid I figured I would have many more occasions to need a machete. It was not until I turned 45 that I purchased my first machete. This was the one I chose quality feels good long stocks of grass and bamboo shutter when they see me walk with this. I haven’t had a chance to visit the Florida Everglades and forge my own path however, I feel like I’ll be prepared when that time comes you too Can be prepared with purchase of the bear Grylls.

Great size for a woman
I liked this a lot and the weight, size and grip perfect for an 80 year old doing yard work .

Solid choice for small jobs and infrequent use.
Decent value for the $. For heavy clearing jobs I'd spend more and buy a better tool.

Great for basic yardwork
I don't really camp or go on a lot of hikes, but I do have to do yard maintenance from time to time. This machete does the job just fine to supplement the gardening knife that I have. I really appreciate it having the saw on the back of the blade so I don't have to hack thick branches off. The blade was pretty sharp out of the box and has held it's edge so far. The handle is comfortable enough, but definitely could be better. Overall, can recommend!

Cheap
Very flimsy sheath, and handle. I use machetes regularly with search and rescue, this one is probably going to fall apart with minimal use.

It's a compromise all around, but that's not a bad thing.
First thing come the morning, I'll be going after an overgrown bush on my property. But right now, I'm admiring the quality of work put into this knife. The serrations are good, and I like that they still leave about 1.5 inches on the spine at the base just incase you needed that spot for a few things, starting a fire comes to mind. The blade came sharp, and I used it to open a few amazon packages, that worked out just fine. The size is a smaller than any of the other machetes I own, but what it gives up in size, it gains in control. And for some types of bush work, I want that control and finesse. On top of that, the weight is a little down, which helps in the multi-swinging department. I would like to say that this is a good example of what the child of a bushcraft knife and an all business machete would be. I am glad I added this to my collection, and I am quite satisfied with it so far. I look forward to this weekend and swinging at that overgrown bush.
