My dad received this for Christmas. It’s easy to set up. It’s clear and visible at night and both the front and back cameras are displayed on the front camera screen. It’s not too large so it doesn’t distract while driving. For those who struggle with reading, there’s a YouTube video for a simpler setup.

BOTSLAB 4K Dash Cam! is a great buy. Considering the price, I was pleasantly surprised. This thing is seriously impressive – the front camera captures in 4K, and the rear camera is clear as day too. The video recording detail is amazing; it can actually read license plates, which is a huge plus for me, especially on busy roads. I definitely feel safer having it installed now. One feature I didn’t expect to love as much as I do is the ADAS system. It gives little nudges when the car ahead starts moving, if I’m getting too close, or if I’m drifting out of my lane. And every couple of hours, it reminds me to take a break. It’s like a gentle co-pilot that’s genuinely improved my driving awareness, especially in heavy traffic. I used it on a long drive from northern Scotland to Birmingham, and felt reassured knowing I have potential footage in case of an accident . The night vision is on point too. I was skeptical at first, but it really does capture clear video at night, so details like license plates and road signs are easy to read even on dimly lit roads. It’s such a comfort knowing that if anything happens, it’ll all be clearly documented, day or night. The GPS feature is a great add-on. I can check my speed, location, and routes anytime through the app - This feature made me more mindful of my speed, knowing it was being recorded. The app, which is surprisingly easy to use, allows for fast WiFi connection, so I can download videos or share any beautiful scenery I catch on the road with my mum. It is extremely easy to install, all you need is provided in the box, including a 64GB memory card which is more than enough for everyday use. and the cables are easily tucked in using the provided tool. It might also be worth investing in additional wiring suggested by Amazon, allowing you to plug the setup into the fuse box and guide all the cables neatly. This is definitely something I plan to do. And the best part? It’s great value for money. It really does what it says on the box, and then some. All in all, the BOTSLAB 4K Dash Cam does everything I could want and more. It’s packed with features that make driving safer and recording easy. Definitely one of the best investments I’ve made for my car!

The picture quality is amazing and the app is so easy to use. Works great in low lighting too and I love that the cigarette adapter has a USB slot so I can still charge my phone.

Nice and clear dash cam with high quality video capture. Has a decent size and doesn't obstruct the view. It is super easy to install if you are using the car cigarette lighter port to power it. There is a sound functionality as well that helps to remind if the front car starts at the signal turns green. However, it is a pain in the Stop and Go traffic. Rear camera is decent . captures the traffic clearly. Night recording obviously requires sufficient light to record clear videos. App connectivity is not that stable. Need to be better. I will rate the dashcam 4/5 . Good option at this price point.

Very annoyed with this product. Not able to download any videos as you need to connect to the dashcams WiFi but it disconnects every few seconds. Won't even let me watch a video without it disconnecting. Doesn't record 24/7 like it says. When vehicle is off it doesn't record anything. Camera quality is good but it's useless having good quality when you can't download it or even use it as evidence.

The Dash Cam arrived on time so the seller was good and there are basic installation instructions that are adequate but as usual with so many techie type devises these days the operating instructions are very poor to non-existent. I presume somebody thinks it is supposed to be intuitive but if your intuition doesn't work that way it is very frustrating for the basic set up. Otherwise it seems to be a robust piece of equipment though the screen is rather same. I just hope I can find out how to operate it before I throw it out the window :-)

BOTSLAB Dual Channel (Front 4K & Rear 1080p) Dashcam Review. The presentation of this dashcam exudes premium. The accessories were neatly packaged in boxes and the unboxing experience was similar to getting a new high-end phone. The main forward dashcam has some heft and does not feel cheaply made. The view screen is small and provides some detail. Users will see much more detail when recorded footage is downloaded to a phone or a computer. The 170° wide-angle 4K (25 fps) dashcam lens captures detail in daylight and nighttime but lacks optical image stabilization. When your vehicle is stopped at a traffic light, the dashcam can capture license plates from a distance of half a car’s length. This is also ideal when parked in a parking lot. The rear 1080p (60 fps) camera captures sufficient detail in daylight and at night. However, when your vehicle is in motion, the dash cam turns oncoming licence plates into an indistinguishable blur. Minus the licence plate issue, your surroundings are captured in stunning detail. If an incident occurs, this dash cam will record it. A minor nitpick is that a green LED on the left side of the device blinks while recording. I covered the LED with a small piece of black electrical tape. The dash cam alerts users (by computerized voice) that it still records when the viewscreen turns off. The same ‘voice’ is used for the dash cam’s ADAS system alerting the driver to pedestrians, lane deviation, hard braking, aggressive driving and when the vehicle ahead of you starts moving. GPS logging and tracking at this price point is unheard of and is usually associated with higher-end model dashcams. The spoken ADAS prompts can be configured through the Botslab app. The supercapacitor is preferred over a lithium-ion battery. In past experiences, the supercapacitor endured extreme hot and cold temperatures. There is mention of a lithium-ion battery in the product description. The battery is likely used to keep the dashcam’s time and date. For 24/7 parking and sentry monitoring, you will need a hard-wire kit. I tried the cigarette lighter/power outlet adapter method first. When the adapter is plugged into an outlet that provides constant power, this will drain the vehicle battery over time. The hard wire kit resolves this problem. There are two options available. The first option is a kit that hard-wires the dash cam to your vehicle’s fuse panel. This allows the dash cam to go into parking/sentry mode. The kit includes an inline voltage regulator that automatically turns the dash cam off to avoid battery drainage. Some voltage regulators allow users to choose from four battery voltage settings. This option takes the most time to install. The second option takes the least installation time and uses the vehicle’s OBD II port. This method eliminates wiring the dash cam to the fuse panel. During operation, the dash cam was warm to the touch but was not as warm when I used the cigarette lighter/power outlet adapter method. If choosing this method, get the micro USB version, (B074M4XMBX). Ensure enough cable length is available to connect the dash cam to the OBD II port. The adapter is attached to roughly 3.5 metres (11.5 ft) of cable. To conceal the cable, I hid it under the headliner, A-pillar, and the excess cable was hidden near the OBD II port. Plug the adapter in, set the switch to the desired mode and that’s it. The OBD II adapter has a switch that selects two modes. The first mode keeps the dashcam on while driving and turns the dashcam off after five minutes when the car is shut off. The second mode puts the dashcam in parking/sentry mode. When your vehicle is turned off, the dashcam continues to record. The Botslab app can adjust how much time is allowed for recording. When the vehicle’s battery reaches 11.6 volts, the dashcam shuts off. Installation of the dash cam was straightforward. The instructions are clear and guide you through the process. A firmware update was available when the dashcam was first started. The dashcam is equipped with a built-in alignment guide that assists with positioning the device. The kit comes with an extra self-adhesive pad. The ESD sticker kept falling off despite having cleaned the windshield thoroughly. If the dash cam needs to be repositioned, I’ve found that a length of fishing line cuts through the adhesive. Goo gone removes any residue left behind. Overall, and despite minor nitpicks this dashcam exceeded my expectations. Recommended!

Caméra de qualité, que ce soit à l'avant ou à l'arrière, application très bien développée, facile à installer et facile de regarder les vidéos, ce n'est pas de l'argent jeté en l'air, je recommande. Je vais même en acheter une deuxième pour mon autre voiture.

La cámara funciona muy bien. A pesar de que el cable de la cámara trasera es corto, me lo solucionaron desde el servicio de atención al cliente. El chat de la app funciona muy bien.

Wau Wau Wau, wo die Cam gekommen ist hat mich schon allein die Verpackung umgehauen sehr edel und hochwertig verpackt, die Cam selber auch sehr edel und hochwertig macht einen tollen mega Eindruck. Die Bildqualität ist eins a, Nummernschilder zu erkennen auch kein Problem. Die Cam ist sehr einfach zu bedienen das menüist komplett auf deutsch und sehr einfach und übersichtlich ohne versteckte untermenüs. Die App ist auch Klasse und ebenso sehr einfach zu bedienen und funktioniert reibungslos. Ich lade die Videos direkt auf mein Handy herunter und bearbeite alles auf dem Handy. Das click and Go ist ebenfalls sehr einfach zu Hand haben. Speicherkarte ist auch vorhanden. Bisher habe ich keine negative Eigenschaften der camera finden können, ich bin höchst zu Frieden und auf jeden Fall konkurenzfähig zu den überteurten marken. Kann ich auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen.
