knowledge =empowerment
My husband has had a range of health problems,(loss of balance etc)to loss of hearing overnight and tinnitus. All of this leads to the ENT dept.All to be given a probable diagnosis of Menieres and a presciption and told that a low salt diet my help!!!!!Thank goodness for Meniere Man , after reading this book ( and the butterfly )it has answered questions and given hope.Meniere Man has helped us to be pro active and empowered.If this diagnosis is lifelong we can plan for the future better equipped for changes in the condition.None of us like surprises of a medical nature and to have the knowledge gained first hand is invaluable to help us feel that we are not alone and to try other things that may help the quality of life improve.It can be very depressing to find you have a lifelong disease with no treatment and that it may only get worse.Thankfully it is not fatal but Meniere Man has helped put the symptoms into perspective and we now have in a seies of books to dip in and out of for ideas to try.After leaving the ENT doc in a state of shock the questions start to form, and now we have these books to help us .Meniere Man you are a hero in our eyes.This may not be a popular disease but to those suffering, these books we cant praise highly enough.To be able to describe the symptoms to others who think this is just 'a mere minor inconvienience'is empowering and gives a sense of not being a victim, but requiring understanding when the world spins,and Menieres rears its unwelcome head again.

A helpful read for anyone suffering from Menieres Disease
I have been diagnosed with Menieres for some years and after a recent episode of attacks I decided to try self help and purchased this book, found it very insightful in relation to vitamins. Thought the price was a bit on the high side but never the less it's a book to keep and refer back too. Would recommend.

Menieres Disease
A good book for those who have recently been diagnosed with Meniere's disease. My boyfriend is struggling to come to terms with his recent diagnosis and this book is good to show him that he is not alone and has some good tips for dealing with your emotions and the affects of the disease.

This is a fantastic book. I was diagnosed with Meniere's disease several years ago and thought there was no hope and there was nothing I could do. After reading this book, I feel so much more positive about the future, he's given so many tips and lots of advice on how to not only 'survive' the illness but ways in which to be pro-active and reduce the intensity and frequency of the attacks. He shows you how you can actually have a 'normal' life and that you don't have to be a prisoner to this awful disease. Whether you've just been diagnosed or were diagnosed a long time ago, you HAVE to read this book. I guarantee it will change the way you feel about and react to this disease.

Helpful for anyone suffering a difficult illness
While this book is a memoir of coping with Meniere's disease, I found that the information was relevantto anyone dealing with a chronic illness. I have several family members struggling with heart disease,chronic pain and diabetes that would find this book helpful. More than an overcoming adversity tips book,it's also a wonderfully written narrative that keeps the reader engaged to the end. The spirit of Meniere manto constantly tackle his medical issues without giving up is inspiring. I would recommend this book as an upliftingresource for anyone with Meniere's disease but also for anyone suffering a difficult illness.
