Rhythm Band RB801 Rhythm Rounders, (Set of 24)

These are colored sticks. So what could make them below, at or above average? Simple things like how well painted they are, if they smell like paint when you open them, if your hands end up the same color as the paint after handling them a few moments, whether or not they are the same size, etc.Let's start with the paint job: fortunately, they look better than the picture shows. The ones that were photographed showed what they would look like if I quickly made these for myself. The paint on the ends of the sticks kinda dripped into place unevenly and was not as thick as on the rest of the stick. The sticks I received were evenly painted all over, including the ends of the sticks. And I didn't get black sticks in my set - I got green instead. That would definitely be worth returning these sticks and zapping off a couple stars if I bought them for the black color, but in my case, green is actually what I needed. Most groups that want to use these sticks have other items that are also in red, blue, green and yellow, so I think the seller changed it somewhere along the line. I was delighted to see the green.They are all the same size, are very straight, didn't have any weird/bad smell when opening the package and don't color my hands or anything. They are nice and bright, and are just calling for you to smack 'em together. My son (5th grade) saw them, picked them up and started clicking away. Without music. And wouldn't stop until I finally forced him to put them down.They are perfect for me, definitely recommended, and I will probably buy another set since they do have the green instead of the pictured black sticks.

Overall, I am very satisfied with the rhythm sticks. I use them to teach music theory to children. The sticks produce a strong resonant sound and withstand the children’s “creativity”.However, the paint on some of the sticks is easily chipped; that is disappointing.Excellent sound, but easily chipped

These were exactly what we were expecting! My only criticism would be having to order them in a pack of 24 when we really only needed a pair. But we kept a pair of each color and are donating the rest to the youth program at our church. Still a good deal...

At our son's drum-themed third birthday party, we set up a lummi stick decoration table (this pack plus washi tape) and a drum circle with big plastic buckets. Simple fun! We added a few Dover mini books, fruit snacks and drum-shaped playdough to small bags & called it a day. The kids loved it!

The paint on these sticks started chipping off right away with the very first use. I bought these sticks for my preschoolers. On the very first use, as one of the boys played with them during our music time, I could see one of the sticks he was using starting to bend when he returned it to me. So that’s now one less stick for the set. I’m sure it’s a matter of time before they all start to break. The wood is too soft for rhythm sticks. I do not recommend these sticks at all. I had read reviews by others saying the same kinds of things about these sticks before I bought them. I clearly didn’t listen to them; I wish I had.

I use these with my daycare class of preschoolers. They enjoy them and have been quite rough with them. They have been hit hard and dropped frequently. The paint on these sticks has proven durable.

All sticks are sturdy, smooth, nicely painted and with rounded edges. I love that they are solid wood and the great sound that they make.

I use these for my preschool music class and they are holding up well so far. The kids love them.
