Transformers Legacy Evolution Toxitron Collection Sideswipe Oh yeah: summer has arrived, and I've now a Toxitron Figure for every season, while also grabbing another Walmart exclusive without giving them a single penny. = Robot Mode = Yay: + Very favourable colour-scheme to me. + Plenty of articulation points. + Exudes “summer water park” vibes to me. + Much like “Spicy Dorito Jazz” from the same sub-line, I love how the head is almost completely-unpainted. + Sunset pattern on their chest/hood, alongside the yellow, and blue, means this is a nice way to have more “Sky” representation for my desk's “Summer: Land, Sea, and Sky” desk decoration triptych. + Much more by way of colour than Armada Wheeljack, this is to type. Meh: ~ Like with Armada Wheeljack, the doors get in the way of the arms. Nay: - Nothing. = Accessories = Much like with my previous experience with this mould, you get a two-part missile launcher with way-too-short stem that seems wont to pop apart from you merely looking at it, and a blaster, instead of Wheeljack's Kali Sticks/Batons/Tonfa. Unfortunately, these are cast in a much-darker blue than the lighter one found in numerous other places on the figure. I also wish the missile was a different colour, as opposed to twilight-ocean-zone navy. = Transformation = Robot to Vehicle: Completely-smooth, with 0 issues, and just enough complexity to be engaging, without being fiddly. Everything that needs to slots in fine, as well. Vehicle to Robot: Just as smooth, now that I know you don't need to pry the feet out, so much as push the panels that give way to the knee bend out to pop said feet free/into a grip-enabling position. = Car Mode = Yay: + Very-sleek, and satisfying looking, by my measure. + Even more Summer Sunset details are now visible on the sides of the vehicle. + I love the clear windscreen... + ...and blue to yellow paint gradients on the side. + On the topic of “Satisfaction” I deem them even more pleasing-to-hold than Armada Wheeljack. + Like the robot mode, it absolutely exudes summer aesthetic to me. + Accessory storage! Meh: ~ One of the wheels has a visible gash on it, and refuses to rotate, even if the back wheels do so fine, unlike Wheeljack. Nay: Nothing! = Verdict = I thought this would be the perfect way to have a dedicated summer figure, and on getting it in-hand, this view has not changed. Yes, I did pay double what it would have initially-costed, but as it has extreme utility as my go-to summer decoration figure, and owning means I've now a Watermelon Gator Mirage for Spring, Summer Sunset Sideswipe for that season, Spicy Dorito Jazz for Autumn, and Icy Winter Night Cloudcover to occupy my desk in the short-day season, I am more than fine with said price. Shame about the wheel, and darker blues, though... = Placed In = 2: Amicably-Approved!

This mold has been one of my favorites Hasbro has made in the last five years or so. And I LOVE the deco. It's only a shame he was one per case and I never actually saw him at a Walmart so I had to resort to Amazon.

This figure has arguably the best paint scheme out of all the figures with this mold. Good articulation, looks great in my collection
