LENOX Tools Hole Saw Kit, Speed Slot, 26-Piece (308042000G)

Very good hole-saws, and this kit is by far the most complete I have ever seen. A really good price for this many different sizes. I have used these in hardwoods with good results, just remember to back it off often and clean the shavings out of the teeth. If you don't it will start to burn and the heat will shorten the life of the teeth as it anneals the steel. The slots on the sides are great for prying out wood plugs with a flat-blade screwdriver. I have also used these hole-saws to cut holes in heavy gauge steel electrical junction boxes without any problems. They remain sharp and last for many cuts. Very important! Always drill your pilot hole through sheet metal before you put the hole saw on the arbor! Otherwise you will have bent or broken pilot bits and missing teeth on your hole saw (I was an apprentice once and I know this for a fact!). This is not the first Lenox set I have bought and I keep buying them for a reason. I have used Milwaukee, Greenlee, Ridgid, and other quality brands of hole-saws. Lenox is at least as good a anyone out there in this price range.

Excellent quality and it's so nice to have all these sizes. Make sure you order from a seller that has the "new" version. They have the stair-stepped "speed slots" to use a screwdriver to remove the plug. Also, the old version (which the hole saws are painted completely white, ie no black teeth) have HOLLOW shafts on the mandrels! Those are total crap quality, but the redesigned mandrels have solid shafts and are great! (FYI, there are still more sizes Lenox makes that aren't included in this kit!) They are available at certain box stores.

Lennox and Milwaukee are the two best hole saw kit manufacturers (for the price), in my opinion. One thing you need to know - As of this review, the second picture at the top and even in the main description/ item list, it says that it comes with the 2L and 6L "Snap-Back" arbors and IT DOES NOT. I wish it did because they are fantastic, but it doesn't. Pretty sure that that is false advertising! Before buying, I kind of knew that the snap-back arbors wouldn't come with it because I have never seen a Lennox hole saw kit that did include them, so I wasn't shocked that they weren't in the kit, but I still think that the advertising is very misleading. However, it is a nice kit, but the party responsible for those "errors" needs to change them ASAP. If you buy a kit like this, buy the snap-back arbors also - they make changing bits much more pleasant and fast!

Lenox. Don't buy any other brand hacksaw blade. White bi-metal,red Lenox print means it's going to cut and going to last.……….Too many 17pc holesaw sets to choose from, so I got the'contractors set', whatever that means. Cups seem to come shortand long, random depths. Traditional screw-on-back-off cup,massive drop-down pin lock, tighten-untighten nut works everytime no jamming and is very safe. Speed slot makes it fairly easyto pry out disk. ……….Lenox holesaws always cut clean holes and clean disks.Often cut holes specific for leftover disks. Know sharp edge will bethere for next time, And usable for soft metals.……….Deluxe 17pc = 12 cups, 2 arbors, and 3 spare drill bits! Nokey included for bit 1/8" set screw. But a deluxe hole is providedfor your own L shaped Allen wrench. Case cannot be opened whenon a table surface. Stamped metal latch handles are too sharp.……….Lenox was bought out by Stanley BlackandDecker 2017.Remains to be seen if uncompromised Lenox reputation will hold.Global corporations do not always market uncompromised tools.Quality will take a dive. Very nice set of saw bits. It should last for many years to come. The kit costs a lot, but it is lower than individual purchase.

Holesaws in general are a bit of a commodity tool since they wear out quickly. We have found that The Lenox bimetal bits are very tough. I like the kit selection and for a plastic case, it holds up well. The latches are metal and are durable. The mandrils are very easy to use. This might be one of the biggest differentiators in that they are very quick to attach and do not lock against the bit itself.

This is a great kit. I contemplated buying the complete kit as opposed to the smaller ones with less hole saws, but I'm glad I have all the sizes. I'm using these in the construction field, more specifically as an electrical contractor. I haven't used even half of the sizes YET, but I have used them on drywall, wood and metal. I needed a very specific size hole cut out for an electrical panel enclosure and didn't have a hydraulic hole punch kit. So I pulled this kit out, found the size and it cut the hole very well without dulling the teeth. Having all the sizes may save you money and time from having to go out and spend more buying them individually and waste time driving to get one when your on a job and just need one particular size to finish something simple.

Use them correctly and you'll be happy with them. A bit expensive though.

Le coffret de la photo est le nouveau modèle celui reçu l'ancien ( pas l'escalier sur le bord des scies) mais bon faut pas chipoter c'est du lenox et au prix du mandrin porte outil le coffret complet faut pas hésiter.
