Great Quality
I use this valve at my outside hose Bibb and it works great. Full flow, heavy duty and the quarter turn is easy. Definitely would buy again.

Quality hose shut-off valve
The only thing I don't care for is the short handle height. If it were taller, it would be easier to grip and turn. This is great for changing nozzles or for moving to a sprinkler. This keeps me from walking 150' back to the house to turn off the water, then walk back to disconnect the hose from one sprinkler, and then move it to another, and then walk back to the house to turn the hose bib back on.

Increase your waterflow with this shutoff
The one thing I noticed about this garden hose shutoff is how heavy the shutoff feels. I placed the shutoff on my kitchen scale and it weighs just under 1/2 lb. I also noticed the size. I have another hose shutoff and the STYDDI shutoff is so much larger that I was worried it would not fit my 3/4" tap. To my relief this shutoff fits without any issue. The water opening is also so much larger and I noticed a greater water flow when fully opened. When screwing in the shutoff onto my tap, the large hexagonal connection provided a good grip for me to hand tighten the shutoff - I did not require a wrench to have a tight leak-proof connection. The hexagonal connection is a free twisting swivel fitting and lets me adjust the shutoff handle to my preferred position before finally tightening the hexagonal connection. The shutoff handle is 2" long and the handle spans both sides of the shutoff stem. This gives a good leverage to turn the water on and off. My older shutoff has a handle on one side of the shutoff stem, making it difficult to turn the water on and off when compared to the STYDDI shutoff. The ends of the STYDDI handle are tapered higher to give a better grip. The green colour handle gives a good contrast to the brass finish. From a distance I can see how open the shutoff is.I like that this is a ball valve. With a ball valves, there's no worry about replacement washers. Also with ball washers, a quarter turn will fully turn on or off the water. Overall, a great garden hose shutoff.

Female end swivels! - A little stiff to turn, not “¾” flow (9/16”)- internals and handle not brass
I wasn’t sure when I ordered this, but the female end is free to swivel. This means you don’t have to spin the whole unit to put it on or off. So far I’ve found the handle a little stiff to turn on and off - more so when you don’t have a nozzle on the end for leverage. I imagine this will get better with time.It isn’t actually a full ¾” of flow, however most people will probably be limited by their main valve or hose. I’m not most people, and I am thankful for the increased flow it gives me when filling large containers. I was challenged to measure it, but I did put an AA battery in. The battery wouldn’t quite make it through the hex key’d area, and fit with just a bit of clearance otherwise. Based on this, I’d say right around 9/16”.The last thing I can say is the body appears to be brass as stated in the ad. The internal valve appears to be normal metal, however I didn't disassemble to confirm. It has some magnetic draw to it, even with a layer of brass in between. The handle is definitely iron based.

Works great, no leaks
This valve does exactly what it should do - control the flow of water and not leak. It gives reasonable control over water flow - about as good as a ball valve can provide.Construction is solid, weakest link is probably the plastic valve handle but otherwise it is solid brass.Build quality is good, nicely machined.Valve can be a touch stiff to operate but otherwise it is easy to use. When closed while under pressure, there is no water leaking at all.One thing to keep in mind, is that when the valve is restricting water it changes the flow pattern, so if you are using it with nothing past the end then you will get varying spray patterns as you adjust the flow. For my application, which is mainly watering can filling, this is not an issue, but for some applications it may matter. Just pointing it out.

Very good quality, no leaks. Bit pricey
This review is for the Heavy Duty Brass Garden Hose Shut Off Valve by STYDDIYou never really know what kind o quality to expect from some Amazon items when a company name is just a bunch of letters strung together.I am happy to report that this company makes a great product. The brass used is indeed heavy duty, the valve does not leak, and the finite adjustment of the valve flow control allows for anywhere from a trickle to all-out full flow. The control is a simple 90 degree turn from full-off to full-on. No leakage reported at the connection point or from the vale itself once turned to the off position.Weights a few ounces... that heaviness is the quality brass that they use in the device. $25 Cdn was the price at time of review (June 2024) and seems a bit pricey, but the product is quality. Only reason this is not a 5 star is the price is a touch high.

Excellent Shut Off Valve
Pros--this came in a padded bag in a small cardboard box- no scratches, dings or flattened, damaged threads- the female end is a hex swivel head that's easy to tighten and comes with a nice o-ring- I tried this valve multiple times- no leaks anywhere open or closed- very little pressure drop or flow drop through the valveCons-- I should have ordered two of them!Conclusion- This is a high quality hose shutoff valve. You won't get much restrictions wide open, probably as much as the coupling between two hoses. It is ideal for my eavestrough and gutter cleaning project. I use a short (5') hose attached to the end of a long hose with this valve between the two. I can climb up a ladder, insert the short hose end into the downspout and then turn it on while up the ladder. Happy to have this valve.
