This is the PERFECT container for matcha on the go! Can also be used for loose leaf tea as you would simply put the tea leaves in the container and sip the tea after it has brewed. I have used this to make matcha tea and it is simple! You just sift the matcha through the provided mesh sifter, add your water, close, shake, open slowly to allow the pressure to release and then enjoy your matcha tea! Easy peasy! It is smooth, perfectly blended and delicious hot or cold. I like to add a little sweetener to mine in the form of stevia. The insulated glass keeps it warm if I’m not drinking it right away. Holds my 8oz for the tea and even has room for some milk if you want a latte. I have used it every day at least twice a day for my matcha and plan to use it for my loose leaf teas as well or even to infuse fruit in my water. The mesh sifter will work nicely to keep the loose tea or fruit free for my sipping pleasure! I love this and highly recommend it! One of my best Amazon purchases!!! I purchased this to use to make matcha while travel. I love the size, perfect for matcha, and the built in sieve, which makes it super easy to sieve your matcha powder without getting it all over everyone around you. It also makes a froth, albeit an weak one. Unfortunately, I just cannot figure out how to get rid of the steam pressure that builds up from the hot water and shaking it to dissolve the matcha. I've tried leaving the lid off for a bit, tried to close it, then open it again before shaking, partially opening it, etc. Nothing works to prevent it spraying hot matcha liquid everywhere once you've shook it up to dissolve the matcha. There must be a way to prevent this, but there's no tips that came with shaker bottle other than to warn you many times to be careful of the steam build up. Maybe it works well for cold brew, but that's not what I wanted it for. Too bad, if it wasn't for this hot-liquid-spraying-all-over-you problem, I would have given this 5 stars. Instead I have to give it 2 stars as it is quite dangerous.

So far, so good. It definitely mixes the matcha really well, but if you like it hot, you have to drink it quickly as this doesn't keep it warm for long. I put the matcha in the top in the morning, and add hot water to just the bottle at lunch, shake it, and it mixes well.

I like kitchen items that serve more than one purpose. I love matcha but couldn't justify buying the wooden whisk just to froth it. This water bottle is amazing, not only does it froth the matcha really well, it doubles as a loose leaf tea to go bottle!
