Who knew these were so handy?
The media could not be loaded. These were packaged fine, quick and easy to assemble, better-looking than I expected, and work beautifully.I bought them in an attempt to naturally repel birds after re-seeding our lawn. After a day or two, the birds figure out the seemingly evil repellant is actually harmless, and return. Fortunately, it is simple to relocate said repellents to other areas of the garden. This successfully deters the birds for another day or two. And repeat!Meanwhile, my grandchildren think these are the best backyard toys ever. Cheapest thrill available to preschoolers, and no one injured- BONUS! I know what they’ll be getting for their birthdays this year.Highly recommend... For tacky outdoor decor, bird repelling, and easy-breezy toddler amusement, these cannot be beat.

Perfect!
The media could not be loaded. We bought those to,scare birds from pooping on our fence They are perfect! The colors are beautiful they move great with the wind.they are super easy to,assemble. I was expecting something very cheaply made but the material is not thin as I thought it would so I think they will last. Very happy with this purchase

Nothing is perfect, but these work pretty well!
The media could not be loaded. I've recently been having pigeon problems on my balcony in NYC. This spring, 2 pigeons kept returning multiple times a day, even after spraying them with strong streams of water. I finally discovered a semi-hidden nest with 2 baby pigeons. Not wanting to kill the babies, I decided to wait patiently until they were old enough to fly the coop. Only one survived, however, and the resulting mess from the remaining pigeon and its parents (not to mention the carcass of its sibling) was a big cleanup job. While disinfecting the area and rearranging planters and other items, a second nest was discovered with 2 eggs (and I had no intention of allowing these eggs to hatch). With the eggs and nests gone, I figured the pigeons would have no reason to return, and I was right... for a while anyway.About 3 weeks ago, I noticed 2 pigeons perched on the balcony rail and I promptly sprayed them with water whenever I saw them. They would come every day, sometimes more than once. Water is a good deterrent but only when you catch them in the act. I was absolutely determined not to allow any of them to nest on my balcony ever again and needed a way to create a more inhospitable environment for them.I did a lot of reading and research and looked at available options. I considered putting bird spikes on the railing but I saw so many mixed reviews about those. The easiest option seemed to be these Bird Blinder pinwheels since they combined movement, light and sound and didn't require any permanent installation. They arrived pre-assembled and all I had to was attach them onto the stakes. My balcony rails have 5 posts and I attached one pinwheel to each post with 3 zip ties each to secure them in place. I inserted 3 other pinwheels in ground-level planters around the balcony as well. I have to say, they have worked wonderfully so far!I have not had one single visit from any pigeons during this time. They spin in the slightest breeze so there is usually always movement, and when the sun catches them they sparkle with their holographic design. They make a slight sound as they spin (like any pinwheel) so there are several ways they deter the pigeons.Today we had Tropical Storm Isaias in NYC and they held up very well in 45+ mph winds. The high winds did shift their orientation (the direction they were originally facing) but they were attached securely to the rails and never faltered. The attached picture is after their initial installation, and the video was towards the end of Tropical Storm Isaias.Overall, I definitely recommend these Bird Blinder pinwheels. They make not work for everyone in every circumstance but they have worked great in my situation, and even better than I had expected. Time will tell how they hold up and whether they continue to repel NYC pigeons from my balcony, but so far I give them 2 thumbs up.UPDATE... just after writing my review, I saw my first pigeon sitting on my balcony rail, next to one of the spinning pinwheels. So, sadly these aren't perfect. But the fact that it's the first time I've seen one at all since installing them (versus the daily visits I was getting before from multiple pigeons) makes me hopeful. Still 5 stars and I'll update again if things change.

Junk. Would take a hurricane to make these spin
Poorly designed. Mechanism is too tight to allow spin, even after lubricant. Don't buy.

Pinwheels
Easy to put together.

Not real functional.
Advertised as a deterant for those nasty birds fro. Canada. I put several of them out and it takes a strong wind to make them spin. A light breeze won't cut it. If you just want them to look at , we'll they look good

This really works. Pigeons Absolutely Hate these!
First off, I never ever write reviews. I rarely have free time. But this is a product that actually worked for me and my neighbor. He them as well. The Pin Wheels absolutely keep pigeons away from my pool.I have them placed around the hot-tub and pool.Make sure you get the "silver/mirror" sparkly Pin-Wheels.Even when there is no wind the pigeons will not go near these. Now all the pigeons have migrated to my neighbors house and pool. They won't even sit on our roof anymore. Also, now the other species of birds won't go near the pool. Cheap simple fix. And they don't make the yard look "too" bad.No more cleaning up bird-crap around the deck or out of the pool at my house.-Bryan

Not sure they actually work
These pinwheels are the same as you’d get at a Dollar Store or Party Store. Not sure if they actually work. Still had to put up a wire fence to keep the geese off our yard. And they do not hold up very well. About half of them had the cap come off for various reasons which means the spinner itself slides off easily and ends up on the ground. Once that happens they are completely useless unless you can find the cap. I didn’t find any of the caps and I think I have 3-4 spinners left that are operational out of the original number.

all good

the blades do not rotate
when assembling the product you need to fold each blade over for the rotating axes to pass through it.The folded blade applied sufficient pressure to the holding ring to prevent the blade rotation due to excessive friction. Poor chinisium design.

They don’t work
They don’t rotate in the wind and do nothing to keep the birds away

Not bad but could be better
The spinning effect is great but the heads do not rotate to catch the wind unlike other devices that do

Bought as deterrent for pigeons.
Bought this as a deterrent for pigeons hanging around my garage roof. Haven't used them yet because I had placed a bird netting prior to receiving these items. I would think they would be effective.
