Better Call Saul – Season 1 [Blu-ray] [2017] [Region Free]

I purchased Better Call Saul Season 1 on DVD as I was a big fan of breaking bad and interested in seeing where things were going. It starts with Saul, in what I imagine is his post breaking bad witness protection life, which is briefed on only. This mainly focuses on the rise of Saul Goodman - where he came from and how he got to the Saul Goodman we know (and mostly love). There is the return of a couple of already loved characters - Tuco & Mike to name a couple. While I did half expect this to be mediocre, I was surprised just how much I loved it. The writing is spectacular, Jimmy (Saul) is a completely lovable character and in many ways I think it is as good as (dare I say in some aspects better than) breaking bad. Season 2 - which I have also seen is also spectacular.My one issue is the price of this DVD - it has been out ages. There is a season 2 and its still £20.00. We purchased this, then actually ended up taking out a trial of Netflix and watched both 2 season before the trial was up. I can't help but feel that the price needs to come down significantly. Otherwise I would highly recommend watching better call saul - but consider buying a used DVD or taking out a netflix trial. These are priced too high

some funny scenes

Bought season one on recommendation of my son. I enjoyed it but not as much as "Breaking Bad" which was brilliant! I am not inclined to watch season 2...……...

Different. Entertaining. Unexpected. Not up to Breaking Bad allure, but still takes you on a journey, which the next series "hopefully" has lined up for us? To be expanded upon. Still I am pleased with the series and was value for money. RDR

We watched the whole Season is a week. It has all the great bits of breaking bad, the darkness the one-liners and the filming/editing but has more depth emotion and intrigue. I am delighted to have discovered that Season 2 is on its way out soon - I am about to pre-order it!

Awsome show. Great characters and well written story. Must have tv show for breaking bad fans.

Really loved the Saul character in Breaking Bad, but they really develop him in Better Call Saul. Equal amounts of dry humour and drama. Amazing. And you know they won't drag it out for 20 seasons.
