We got this for a cat that has started relieving herself on the carpet, despite having a clean litter box. We had been keeping the door to that room closed. We got this collar, put it on her, opened the door and waited. I set it to the lowest shock setting and when she went in to sniff the area she had been using, triggered it. She did not seem to be in any discomfort, but was definitely surprised, backed away and left the room. The next time she approached the room, I used the vibration function set on high which also made her leave. She has not entered the room again. We know this would also work for countertop training, scratching, etc. We believe it would only take one shock on low, or a vibration on high to teach her.Highly recommend if you need some extra help training your cat. This is way more effective than a squirt bottle. Great product.

Our cat meows all the time day and night. He’s a senior cat and stuck in his ways. The collar works best with the vibration setting because that gives him a quick check and shuts him up. The collar works great and if you are having trouble with fitting, just cut it down to size. Other people complain about sizing issues but that’s hogwash. There’s plenty of material to cut the collar down to size.

I only gave this a one star because it is listed as a small enough device to be worn by a cat. We have a medium size cat and he could not wear it. Other than that, the device worked fine.

This collar definitely works. I tried it out on myself first. Then I put it on my biting kitty. The mechanism itself is on the larger side for a small cat. But it fits fine and the collar is adjustable. He doesn't seem to register the beep comes first, then the vibration which he's not a big fan of but doesn't always deter him, then fully freaks with the lowest shock setting. I've only used that twice, and may just stick with the vibration.He definitely finds it uncomfortable, and scratches it, but I only put it on when he "play" attacks me and won't stop. And maybe the discomfort is sign 1 to stop biting before the beeps.I do have to press each button at least twice before it will register and beep, vibrate, or shock. Not sure if that's a safety feature or not. Remains to be seen if this will work in the long run.

This is an excellent collar. Shipping was very fast and the collar arrived without a hitch. I highly suggest buying.

It shuts off by itself. I use it only on vibrate when my young cat it biting at my elderly cat.

The collar arrived within a day. I have a very large and naughty Maine Coon mix and he learned within 2 days what the remote is for so don't even need to use the vibrate feature with him anymore-we just show him the remote. It is easy to charge and lasts as long as stated. If my other cat was a bit larger I would get one for him as well to curb bad behaviors.
