Great to use daily!
Very good Dripper I am enjoying using it daily and highly recommend it 👍🌸 I enjoy most keeping the coffee on the upper level so the flavor becomes enhanced than just flowing right through. Durabily is very good as well as ease of use and cleaning.

Classic versatile pourover coffee unit. If you want flexibility in your pour over, this one!
This is "what it is". This is the switch (a V60 Hario). Without over thinking, this will make you a good cup of pourover coffee. You can leave the switch down (liquid flows through) and it's a standard pour over unit. You can put the switch up for immersion (soaking your coffee), releasing the C02--whatever. It cleans easily, parts come apart and don't be panicked if your switch dislodges--happens sometimes--just pop it back in---I like ceramic, always gotten those for my pourovers--just a bit more heat retention if you follow that sort of thing . This is an item that can last a long long time.

Game-Changer for Pour Over Brewing - Thanks, James Hoffman
I picked up the Hario V60 Switch after watching James Hoffman's video on it, and I’m really glad I did. It gives you consistent, well-extracted coffee with very little fuss. The ceramic build feels premium, and it retains heat nicely throughout the brew. The “switch” function (literally a small valve at the base) lets you steep the coffee before releasing it into your cup, which is perfect for experimenting with longer contact times or bloom phases. It’s also super easy to clean. At 200ml, it’s ideal for single-cup brewing, though those who want to brew for two may want the larger version. It’s not the cheapest dripper out there, but if you’re serious about your coffee and love the precision of pour-over with the ease of immersion, this is an excellent tool to have in your lineup. Highly recommended! Especially for coffee nerds like me who watch too much James Hoffman.

If It’s Good Enough for Hoffmann… It’s Going in My Rotation
I didn’t need another pour-over device… but then James Hoffmann casually mentioned the Hario V60 Ceramic Immersion Dripper "Switch" was his daily driver for a while, and suddenly I had to have it. Call it peer pressure. Call it coffee cult behavior. Call it what it is: absolutely worth it. The Switch brings together the best of both worlds—immersion brewing and pour-over precision—with a literal flick of the wrist. Want to bloom and steep before releasing? Done. Want to geek out over flow rate and grind size? Also done. Want a foolproof way to get a consistent, clean, flavorful cup without brewing anxiety? Welcome home. The ceramic body feels solid and premium, like it could survive a minor kitchen apocalypse. And the simplicity of the switch mechanism? So satisfying it feels illegal. No drama. No leaks. Just coffee wizardry in motion. This one’s now a solid part of my rotation. Great for mellow mornings or when I want a cup with a bit more body but still clean clarity. Whether you’re deep into your third-wave journey or just trying to impress yourself before 8 a.m., this is a worthy add to the shelf.

very nice
Having used the standard Hario Dripper I have to agree with many others there is a noticeable improvement in the coffee taste with this unit. It's really easy to use. You just put the water evenly in the unit and let it infuse about two minutes and you will be rewarded. It's also easy to clean as it comes apart quickly. I got the ceramic version but the plastic works just as well.

Great product, two small tweaks would be even better!
I love the freshness from this porcelain drip maker. Two things could make this better. First, the ball bearing needs to be a touch larger. Second, letting it steep in the container for even just 45 seconds- the seal of the Silicon around the Porcelain starts to leak. In essence, have a slightly larger bearing and have the Silicon make to be a little tighter. Other than than love this pour over.

Easy to use, makes a great cup of coffee, BUT it is not plastic-free. The plastic switch is in full contact with the hot water. If Hario could make this same product with NO plastic or silicone it would be perfect.

I just felt like treating myself to a better pour over option. After all, one can never have to many brewing options. The Hario Switch looked like an interesting piece of coffee kit. Up until now I was not weighing my coffee or water. That has all changed without going crazy about it. After the first cup (it was a bit harsh since the grind was to fine), my coffee is now bursting with flavour but is still very smooth, no harsh after taste. There are so many apps with on-line recipes to try. My only complaint is that occasionally after washing it, the ball bearing gets out of alignment. It is actual the lever that gets out of position. Once you see the issue it is no longer an issue.
