Cheap, Uncomfortable, Poor Quality, sharp, dangerous, and Hurtful
The media could not be loaded. I bought these for my wife. Compared to others they were actually rated somewhat high.My wife was putting one in her hair and she started to complain it would not remain closed when she bent the two ends together. My wife’s hair is long but not thick. I made the comment to clip it together and she replied telling me there isn’t a clip on them. I asked if there was a magnet or something that held the ends together. She didn’t see anything. I asked to look at it.When she attempted to take it out her hair got stuck to it and ripped a small amount of hair out. You could hear the hair breaking/snapping.Here is what I discovered. The foam is thin. There is the shape of a thin piece of flat metal in it. There are no snaps or magnets that attach the ends together for support. I put it on my head and rolled my hair in it and pushed the ends together. I have fine long hair. The ends bend together but spring out. I flattened it out. When I attempted to unroll it my hair also became stuck to the foam and it also pulled out my hair. When doing so one end of the metal popped out and rubbed against my thumb. It felt sharp. I looked at my thumb thinking I cut myself. Then at the end that came out.The ends appeared to be glued under the foam while the rest of the metal in the center moves freely.Even with the glue on one of the tips the sides felt sharp.I promptly did a return and got an instant refund.I decided to take a video of me pulling the metal. it didn’t take much force. the foam ripped and tore off over the metal on the opposite side. The I felt the edge again. I noticed the package was made of a thick cardboard so I decided to see if i could cut the cardboard with one of the ends and it cut it very easily. The metal is flat steel as thin as the clips you would put on a bandage to hold the bandage in place.Would I recommend this…. No!Why?! They are Cheap, Uncomfortable, Poor Quality, sharp, dangerous, and Hurtful. Yeah. I said hurtful. More so if you cut yourself while doing your hair.

Excellent for making curly waves in long hair and for hair buns.
I have thin long hair, that looks ridiculous when I try to put it up in a bun, until now. This is so easy to use, just smooth hair into a nice ponytail, secure with an elastic band, then run it through the center of the bun maker, slide down (not all the way, but before ends start to come out), fold the ends of your hair inward onto the length, then start turning the bun maker towards your head. Once you can't turn it, just take the ends and bend together downward to make a circle, and slide your hair to cover up where the ends meet. Sometimes I need a bobby pin at the bottom, to secure this meeting point, sometimes I do not. In any case, I end up with a nice bun all day long.BUT, the best thing to use these for is to make long curly waves in long hair. Take a section of hair, spray lightly with water to dampen and any type of holding product you like ( I use a little hairspray), then holding the bun maker vertically with one hand and somewhat close to your scalp, use the other hand to take the length of hair about midway, and start wrapping it around going down the length of the bun maker, have the winding go back away from your face, do not wrap forward (forget about the center hole, use the entire length of the bun maker), then bend both ends over. Do this all over. I divide my hair into 4 sections, so 4 bun makers is all I need. Anyhow, about 2 hours later when hair is completely dry, unwrap and finger comb. You will have long lasting curly long waves. I tried sleeping with them on, which would have been optimal, but they bothered me. Maybe if I had a shower cap or something like that it wouldn't be so bad. Anyhow, that is what I originally bought these for, making my hair wavy. The fact that I can finally have thick buns, is a plus.

So easy to use and now it’s my go to!
Dress it up or down this bun maker is a score. I love using it for low and high buns. I’m normally not good at hair but this item gives me skill. This item takes little effort and gives a flawless hairstyle. The product is very thick and dense enough to hold thick hair. I would suggest those with lighter colors hair to select a different color that would cover the thick material. Brunettes can get away with the dark product if the hair doesn’t cover completely.

THis this did not hold up well at all
My wife has several of these from another manufacturer. Unfortunately these do not hold up well at all. My advice is keep shopping around for a better quality.

Don’t recommend
I honestly do not understand how people like these. They’re not easy to use or intuitive at all and after watching a couple videos and multiple attempts I can definitively say I don’t like them. They are too bulky, don’t “close” around itself enough and create a weird shape bun. There are better alternatives out there.

Very difficult to use
The bun maker is very difficult to use. The pictures, yes, only pictures do not explain what to do with them. After repeated attempts to make a bun I have decided to change the use. I am going to make fabric covers and use them to pull up my hair and twist it into a pull up type hair that my hair may show outside the "bun" concept.I received these when I had a slight medical problem and it was too late to return.Thankfully I sew and can make the 4 pack of some use.Unless you can figure out 4 pictures that are supposed to be directions, I don't recommend.

Not good
I don't usually bother leaving reviews, however, don't waste your money on these. I thought I was getting two large and two small but received four small. Despite me having a large undercut to reduce the volume of my hair these still could not cope with my hair. Not useable. Waste of money.

Perfect performance for the price!
I have really thick hair, to the point that my hairdresser says that cutting my hair is like cutting two heads of hair, and these worked for me. I used an elastic to create a high ponytail, used the bun maker, and then used pins to secure it. If you have thick hair, you’ll need pins, if you don’t, you should be fine. It creates a very polished bun. Overall, I’m pleased!

Don't waste your money.
Absolute rubbish. Was expecting different sizes, so not what I thought I had ordered. Not strong enough to hold my hair in place, and I have fine hair!
