Rosalie and Nathalie's Haitian Tropical Treasure Hunt

My kids and I loved this book. It's a beautiful tour of Haiti as you follow two sisters gathering fruit for their smoothie stand. My kids loved the bright, colorful pictures and getting a glimpse of Haitian life through the eyes of real Haitian kids. We are so impressed that three sisters wrote this story together. Their English skills are amazing, and we loved seeing the Creole words for the fruit. And, that they are using this book to help other Haitian children go to school. So inspiring!

This book is remarkably creative. The writing is engaging and each page makes your mouth water for the delicious looking fruits. Having these darling girls posed in the various sites is very clever and a great way to learn more about the culture and geography of Haiti. With all the negative news coming out of the extremely tragic situation there, it's refreshing to see this country in the light of all it's true beauty.

This is a cute story written by some very cute girls!

This book is so cute! this book is made by three sisters who have been trapped in their apartment for months because of the government shutdowns in Haiti. They are creative, fun, and love learning! This is a great combination of their talents and kept them busy through long boring days. I loved reading about the different kinds of fruits. There are so many kinds I don’t know about. This is definitely a light story to bring goodness to the world.
