Skil-Care 706005 E-Z on Lateral Support

My wife was getting compression of the ulnar nerves which run on the outside of the arms from the shoulders to the hands. I suspect that it was from leaning on her arms on the typically hard armrests of her chair. I bought two of these cushions for her and I added a 2-inch wide of 1-inch thick, soft foam under the covers to fill in the depressions in the original foam meant to help hold the arms in place. Luckily her chair is wide enough to provide 2-inches on each side of her hips to allow the cushions to come down to rest on her Roho seat cushion. At the back the Skil-Care cushions are tucked between her U-Fit backrest and the armrests so are held in place and do not move. They support her arms well and eliminate pressure points. She no longer complains of numbness in her arms. As well, the sides of the cushions plus her backrest help keep her back straight and reduce the weight on her arms when she leans.

Excellent support for my wife's head and body. Soft and comfortable. Her arm rests adjust up on down so I can set the position of the lateral support to accommodate whatever she is doing. I can raise it to support her head while she is eating or lower it so she can rest he head on it while she naps.

This makes her arm rest much wider allowing her to keep her arm on the arm rest more than with the standard narrow rest. The side panel helps prevent leaning over while she is in her custom wheelchair. Universal fit is great. Works much better than expected.

I purchased this item for over $100 and it came with an Amazon receipt for $45.99 ? Not too happy about that and on top of that it's not exactly what I needed.

Doesn't really fit universally. Partmof the vision inevitably rubs on the wheel.
