FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. Not only do these NOT WORK, they get recommendation from Amazon because it has high ratings. Read the ratings, there are multiple items reviewed in this same listing (chimes, de icer, filter) but the product being sold is an over priced GARBAGE bug "zapper" but all you are paying for is an expensive blue light that has not killed 1 bug in the house (all 4 plugged in) all week, yet flies remain in the house. I waited a while before reviewing this, and after reading all the other reviews, I now know this IS A SCAM and DO NOT BUY THIS. If you don't believe me, read any of the other reviews. Do not purchase this. Reviews on the page are deceiving as they are for different products. This should be sold for $1.99 as it is exactly how it feels. Once you put it in the outlet and pull out - the inlet breaks. The item barely effective against anything, so avoid this.

This product does kill small flying bugs and small flies. Large flies cannot fit through the spaces of the grill.

PERFECT FOR GNATS!!! I first thought the bug zappers were not working... because I couldn't sit at my kitchen island and drink a cup of coffee without a gnat or 2 flying in my face. And if I walked away from my coffee and came back to drink it, there would be at least one dead gnat floating on top. My house felt like the plague of the gnats, and the gnats did not come from outside, but from house plants! I have a lot of house plants and the gnats seem to thrive in/on the moist soil. I just left my zappers (I have 4) plugged in various places, especially near the plants and now... approximately three-four weeks later...NO GNATS! I purchased them specifically for gnats and fruit flies. I would NOT recommend this product for flies or mosquitos, simply because I can see hundreds of dead gnats inside the zappers, but I don't see any dead mosquitos or flies.

Had fruit flys all the time so I thought I’d give it a try, it’s cheap enough. Too bad that so far they haven’t worked out very well, they’ve been installed and always on since I received them and none of the four zappers have caught a single bug. This might not be the fault of the design because the information didn’t list the insects it is designed to kill and there are thousands of fruit fly variants, mine showed no interest. These are cheap enough so your not out much is they don’t work but there are a lot of reviews that are having much better results that I had so it might be worth the cost.I can’t really recommend these because I had no successful results but the design seems ok, none have failed so I’ll just keep them plugged it and see what happens.

I bought these due to having gnats in my home that especially come out when I’m drinking wine in my television room. I had one plugged in right across the room, and one quite literally next to my glass. The gnats were not affected in the least. I saw them flying right in front of my face. The zapper didn’t catch a single one. Quite useless waste of money.

Prongs came off after pulling unit from the socket. Left with a prong inside the light socket and a wire dangling from where it should be. Forget about a fix because the unit can't be opened up. As for its effectiveness, a few microscopic insects on the grids could have died from natural causes. Look closely and this particular unit can be found all over under different names. Calle it the triumph of crap over the good sense of the people.

So glad I went with this product! I was worried that buying the cheaper option would mean a product that wouldn’t work, but I was so wrong. Look at how many fungus gnats are CAKED onto the grill. That’s the proof right there!Also, when they first arrived, (I ordered 4), one of the four zappers broke when I plugged it into the wall. I was disappointed, obviously, and hoping to get compensated for it. I messaged the seller and in just a few days I received 2 more zappers, no questions asked (plus an extra).These work so well and I would buy again if I needed them!
