I was a bit skeptical about buying this at first, but I’m so glad I did. I wanted something safe and comfortable for my puppy, and this car seat turned out to be an amazing purchase. We had to drive 5 hours to pick up our beautiful new husky girl, and I didn’t want her on my lap the whole way. Right out of the box, setup was super quick, and I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious it was! It fits perfectly in my Jeep Grand Cherokee, and as you can see in the pictures, my little one has plenty of room to stretch out. We’re currently about three hours into our trip home, and she’s relaxed and comfortable. The mesh sides let her see me easily, so she doesn’t feel trapped, and the quality is excellent—especially for the price. It’s well-made, sturdy, and far exceeded my expectations. I’m genuinely grateful to have found this product and highly recommend it to any new puppy parent!

I am surprised by how this car seat has held up after months of use. I was very skeptical when purchasing, especially because of the price, but this turned out to be worthwhile. I am definitely happy with this seat! It is easy to assemble and take down, and put in and out of the vehicle. It takes only moments to put up or down which I love. It is not bulky at all, and I am able to put it in my trunk and go. This is a great option for smaller car or SUV. My dog also likes this seat and is comfortable in it, which is another win! It is easy for him to get in and out of and get situated. I pair this seat with a vest & bungee as a “seat belt” which has been a huge help in keeping him stationary in the seat. My only complaints would be that overtime the sides and corners have begun to sag, making it easy for my dog to walk out of the seat in the vehicle. Additionally, the straps that secure around the head rests have also stretched overtime, adding to the sagging issue even with adjusting them. Overall, very pleased with this purchase!

Our geriatric 80-lb lab tends to slip, slide, and generally bounce around a bit in the back seat on car rides (it’s even worse in the cargo compartment), and I’ve been noticing his increasing anxiety and discomfort as he’s getting older, less agile, and sore with age. After doing some product research, I decided to buy this “box” type seat for him, hoping to give him a sense of added security and to minimize the amount of counterbalancing and bracing he has to do in order to stabilize himself under normal driving conditions. The seat itself is plug and play straight out of the box. Holy smokes, though, getting the dog into it was no easy feat! As it stands, my lab is far too large and heavy for me to lift and put into the seat over the side of the seat’s walls, like some reviewers report doing with their smaller dogs. So, with one of the headrest strap buckles undone and the seat walls essentially collapsed on three sides, it took some coaxing and manual repositioning of both the dog and the seat to get him to understand where and how I wanted him to be in order to fit inside this new contraption. Once he figured it out though (and that he was supposed to stay in it instead of crawling out onto the seat as soon as I shut the door), I’m happy to say that he did physically fit inside of this seat, including being able to more or less curl up laying down in it without being overly cramped. While my dog did seem to appreciate the added stability of being able to brace against four fabric walls tightly surrounding him (a welcome change from the relative vast open space of an otherwise unoccupied back seat of a small SUV), getting him in and out is going to take some time to get used to for both of us. This really, really, really needs a way to drop the sides without unbuckling it from the headrests to be a truly usable product. Honestly, I’m hoping that this seat will solve the dilemma of how to comfortably fit two teenagers and a Labrador into the backseat without all three complaining of having no room for butts and legs, lol! The plan is to put this seat contraption in the middle between the two kids so as to span the gap between the seat and the center console, thus turning the otherwise unusable for the dog footwell space into a flat “extended seat” surface he can lay on. We’ll see how well this works on the next road trip! Will update after some more use.

I bought this in 2022 and it still works really well. Very durable and my dogs are very comfortable in it. I did lose the seat buckle leash but it still holds a dog pretty well inside it even without that.

Very good quality and easy to install and use but must use the harness tether or my dog jumps right out. The harness tether is too short to use with my seatbelts, so I had to improvise and use a short leash that's fastened on the back seat headrest. I purchased a large seat for a medium breed dog (beagle) and she easily jumps right over the sides if not tethered to her harness.

This seems to be one of the best car seats for dogs that I could find on Amazon. I spent a lot of time looking for something safe, affordable, and just the right fit for a medium size dog. This one definitely fits the bill. It's very easy to install and can be transferred to our second vehicle in an instant. The two metal side rods included (there's a front rod already built into the seat) provides extra stability to the car set, especially when my baby-boy stands up to look out the window, like he loves to do. The see-through, breathable mesh on both sides also protects my dog from moving around. He is confined to his car seat, and no where else. The included tether is okay, but I ordered a different one, just in case (Kurgo Direct To seatbelt Tether for Dogs, Universal Car seat belt for Pets). I also purchased a bed (found it on sale at TJ Maxx) to fit in the bottom of the carrier so that he can be comfortable if he wants to lay down and sleep. I have an 18lb. silky-poo (half poodle, half silky terrier, so I ordered the small (21" x 13" x 19"). It's the perfect size, with plenty of room for him. This car seat will definitely keep him safe, secure and in one place!

Pros: easy to set up and take down, folds flat for easy stowing if you have a passenger Cons: the zipper broke from my dog's seatbelt pulling on it, there's no lower anchor to keep the dog seat from sliding on the regular seat I got this seat for my dog since we're expecting a baby soon and needed to make room for a car seat. I got to use it three or four times and I initially liked the seat cause it was light, easy to set up, and folded flat when not in use. I started noticing things I didn't like once I first used it, though. I have a 60 lb catahoula, and the first time he jumped up into the seat it slid underneath him, causing him to panic a little and hop clear over the other side. Coaxing him to climb back into the smaller seat that slid around was not an easy task, and could be solved by creating some sort of anchor that could wedge down into the crease between the bottom and back seat cushions. My old dog hammock has what looked like large rubber grab handles that worked extremely well for this. Second, on a long ride when my dog settled and got tired of the scenery, he attempted to curl up in his new seat but the bucket was a little too small for him, and he can make himself very small when he sleeps. He is a medium sized dog and I ordered the appropriate size listed based off his weight, but it was still very small and the walls were still pretty low. Then, after only a few uses, one of the zippers completely separated. The issue is that there's a small hole where you thread the dog's seatbelt through at the two back bottom corners, right at the zipper. There is no closed loop or reinforcement for the seatbelt to pass through, so all tension from the dog pulling on the belt is applied directly to the bottom of the zipper which caused it to fail and separate, making it impossible to close. I would not purchase one of these seats again unless these issues were addressed.

My dog loves his car seat. He gets car sick sometimes and I think this helps him get car sick less often. He feels safe and is able to snuggle up in my front seat comfortably. He's a mixed breed dog, about 60lbs and there's lots of room for him!
