I've only had these for two days, but let me tell you......we've always had a problem with stray dogs. But I received these a couple of days ago, and had to put them to use! I set it to the first mode which is only for dogs (which I love, but we have a pitbull problem in my area) and there have been zero dogs entering my yard since I put these out! This was a daily problem, so it's either a coincidence, or these things work very well!!!! They are solar powered so the battery life is great. They aren't ok to look at and don't sound too bad.

The ad claims 20-25 feet detection, we tested it in variable settings, it got 6-7 feet effective detection distance tops. Detection angle is also very narrow, less than 90 degrees. You have to literally stand in front of it to trigger it. That being said, it works but a pair of them are useless unless you buy a dozen of them and they are $25+ each, so do you math. Raccoons continue to make a smelly mess in our backyard, just not right in front of these two units.

It effectively keeps unwanted animals out of my yard without harming them. Easy to set up and works good. Highly recommend!

Seems to confuse animals more than scare them away - but what I really love about these is that they also help to keep the neighbors dogs (and the neighbors themselves) out of my yard. For younger ears, an audible "ping' can be heard - and it's startling. I've noticed that older people aren't able to hear the sound at all though. It doesn't seem to bother my dog when it goes off at a distance.

Simple to use and does the job. I like these so much I purchased more.

My dog walks around it without any reflexes and deer is coming and eating all my plants . Not worth the money. Performance is not at all good as mentioned on the website

I placed these in an area where I planted strawberries and othe garden items. I tried many different type of products to keep the squarrels and other wildlife out of them. These are the only one that worked.
