Expensive, refined, and exactly what it should be
This is one of those products where there isn’t much to overthink it. The Apple Pencil Pro does exactly what it’s supposed to do, does it consistently, and integrates seamlessly with the iPad. It’s not cheap, and it doesn’t try to be revolutionary — it’s just very well executed. Performance and usability Responsiveness is excellent. There’s no noticeable latency, pairing is instant, and charging via the magnetic attachment is still one of the cleanest implementations Apple has ever done. You never think about battery life or connection issues — it just works. The new squeeze gesture is genuinely useful and makes switching tools faster without breaking flow. The tilt support is well implemented and will be especially appreciated by artists, even if it’s not something every user relies on heavily. Feel and design The build quality is exactly what you’d expect. It feels solid, balanced, and premium. That said, the writing feel is still very smooth-on-smooth, which isn’t particularly pencil-like. Screen protectors help with that, but out of the box it’s not a perfect analog feel. Color options are still nonexistent, which is a bummer but that’s always been the case. Compatibility and pricing Requiring the Pro model for newer iPads is frustrating, but not surprising. It’s clearly part of Apple’s broader product segmentation strategy. While that won’t sit well with everyone, the Pencil Pro itself delivers enough refinement that it doesn’t feel like a compromised purchase. Minor quirks On rare occasions, if the iPad hasn’t been used in a while, the Pencil may not immediately reconnect. Placing it back on the magnetic charger instantly resolves this, so it’s more of a momentary hiccup than a real issue. Final thoughts There’s nothing here that feels half-baked. You can nitpick price, texture, or ecosystem decisions, but in actual daily use, none of those detract meaningfully from the experience. The Apple Pencil Pro is reliable, polished, and purpose-built — which is exactly what most people want from it. Five stars - Expensive, but extremely refined. If you’re in the iPad ecosystem, this is the best stylus experience available

Excellent condition, works flawlessly, great battery
Picked this up for my daughter, who has a keen interest in digital art on an iPad Air M3. It arrived in excellent condition. Looked brand new! We’ve now had it for a couple of months and I can say that the battery is excellent, as well. It charges quickly and holds a charge for a long time. All functions work perfectly! I’m actually pretty jazzed; I purchased an open-box Pencil Pro on eBay prior to this one, which had arrived with a dead battery.

Must for the IPad
Quick connectivity out of the box with excellent hand feel. Being its my first Apple Pencil all the controls were slightly overwhelming but once you get used to it this product is a game changer.

Glad Amazon has this.
My wife somehow lost her pencil. It seems it has to be around here somewhere but she wa sick and didn’t use it for a time and these really don’t hold a charge so the find me feature didn’t work. :-(. The new one got her working again.

Didn't know what I was missing
I bought this to use with an iPad Pro 13 inch M4, and I am supper happy with it. I haven't had an Apple Pencil before, so I had no idea how much I would really like it! I have been using it with ProCreate for drawing as well as for a lot of other functions where you would otherwise use your finger. It is pressure sensitive, and it can be clicked or rotated for different functions. When you hover over the iPad before tapping it, it can show/highlight where you are about to click within some apps. I really like how easy it is to store and charge atop the iPad because it is magnetic. It "fits" in one place on the magnet, which is only on one of the long sides of the iPad, so you have to make sure it sticks well so that you know you have found the correct spot for storing/charging. As long as I set down the iPad purposefully, it stays stuck/magnetized on there pretty well. When transporting, I remove the Pencil and store it in the box it came in because I haven't bought any sort of iPad case with a Pencil storage slot yet. Also, just to note, it is paired by attaching the Pencil to the iPad via the magnet. After using it a few weeks, I did have one issue. It started getting sticky/glitchy. I looked online and found all sorts of advice about uninstalling everything from the Pencil itself or even starting over with the iPad from factory settings. Nowhere did I find the actual solution (not even on the Apple website) — the tip/nib of the pencil had become slightly unscrewed. I had seen a bit of a space between the nib and the pencil and tried to push it back on, but it didn't move, so I didn't think it was a problem and had not noted if the space had been there all along. A friend's college-age daughter was the one who told me to screw it back in vs push it back in, and this fixed it right up. Overall, it has a nice weight and some really nice features! I wish I could use it on my iPhone as a stylus, but that is not the case. It only works on the iPad.

Great battery lifetime
Perfect for using with an iPad for the kids, they love drawing and it's not expensive. Battery longs a long time

Almost worked, but not reliably enough.
It won't work in some flight decks, probably due to the pencils low wattage transmitter being around a lot of high powered electronics.

Excellent Apple Pencil — Fantastic for Drawing and Everyday Use
I’ve been using the Apple Pencil Pro every day, and overall I’ve had a really positive experience with it. I was able to get it on sale, which made the price much easier to justify, and I think it was an especially great purchase at the discounted price. It has become one of those accessories that I use regularly rather than something that just sits around. Great for Drawing The main reason I use the Apple Pencil Pro is for drawing and other things that require more precision than using my finger. It works extremely well for this. The response feels quick and natural, and drawing with it feels much more like using an actual writing or drawing tool than using a touchscreen with your finger. I can make small, precise movements without having to fight with the screen. I still use it every day because of how convenient it is. Whether I’m drawing, writing, marking things up, or just navigating my iPad, it has become a very useful part of my setup. Feels Great in Your Hand One of the things I really appreciate is the weight and feel of the Pencil Pro. It feels very comfortable in my hand and has a weight that is almost like a real pencil, although it is slightly heavier. It doesn’t feel overly light or like a cheap plastic stylus. The weight gives it a more substantial and premium feeling while still being comfortable to hold for extended periods. The shape also makes it easy to grip naturally, which is particularly useful when drawing for longer periods. Charging Is Extremely Convenient The charging system is one of my favorite features. Being able to attach the Apple Pencil Pro directly to the side of my iPad Air and have it charge is incredibly efficient. I don’t have to remember to plug in a separate cable or keep track of another charger. I can simply attach it to the iPad when I’m finished using it, and it’s ready to go when I need it again. This makes a huge difference for something I use every day. Bluetooth Setup The Bluetooth connection is also incredibly easy. Pairing it with the iPad was straightforward, and once it was connected, using it felt essentially effortless. I didn’t have to deal with complicated setup or constantly reconnecting it. It just works with the iPad, which is exactly what I want from an accessory like this. Premium Feel and Quality Overall, the Apple Pencil Pro feels like a very well-designed product. The build quality, weight, responsiveness, charging, and integration with the iPad all make it feel like it was designed specifically to work as part of the iPad rather than simply being an aftermarket stylus. The experience is very polished, and I can understand why Apple charges more for it. Downsides The biggest downside is definitely the price. Even though I got mine on sale and thought it was a great value at that price, the regular price is fairly expensive for a stylus. I also think there are limited things you can actually do with it depending on how you use your iPad. If you aren’t someone who draws, writes, takes notes, marks up documents, or uses other Pencil-compatible features regularly, it may be difficult to justify the cost. For someone who doesn’t have much use for a stylus, this could easily end up being an expensive accessory that doesn’t get used very often. Final Verdict Overall, I think the Apple Pencil Pro is an amazing product. I use mine every day, particularly for drawing, and it has been extremely reliable and convenient. The incredibly smooth experience, comfortable weight, easy Bluetooth connection, and ability to charge directly from the iPad Air make it very efficient to use. It also feels excellent in the hand, with a weight that is very close to a real pencil while being slightly heavier. The price is the main drawback, and its usefulness depends heavily on what you actually do with your iPad. However, because I got mine on sale and use it every day, I think it was a great purchase for me. Overall rating: 5/5 stars

Love this apple pencil pro
I’ve been using the Apple Pencil Pro for over a year now, and I finally got around to leaving a review. Before this I had the 1st gen Pencil, and honestly, plugging it directly into the bottom of the iPad to charge was incredibly annoying. I also hated constantly losing it around the apartment. I didnt want to buy one of those bulky cases with a dedicated pen slot because I prefer a minimal setup. When I upgraded to the iPad Air M2, I decided to grab the Pencil Pro on Amazon since it was on a good discount. I'm completely satisfied with it. First off, the magnet is surprisingly strong. I have a case on my iPad that covers the charging edge, but the pencil still snaps on perfectly through the material. Unless you’re actively trying to knock it off, it stays right in place. The wireless charging while its attached is just so convenient. It basically means the pen is always 100% charged and ready to go whenever I pick it up. The matte plastic feels really nice in the hand too. I’ve dropped it on my hardwood floor a couple of times and there isn't a single scratch on it. Haven't had to change the tip yet either. One major thing I want to point out: when I first got the iPad, I put a glass screen protector on it. Once I started using the Pencil, I noticed that whenever I tried to draw a perfectly straight line, it would come out slightly wavy. I couldn't figure out what was wrong for the longest time, especially since it was a high-quality protector brand I’ve used before. I actually took it to the Apple Store, and the employee suggested taking the screen protector off. As soon as I did that, the Pencil worked flawlessly. so just a heads up, this Pencil might not play perfectly with all glass screen protectors. Thankfully, I’ve been using my iPad bare-screen every single day for over half a year now, and the tip doesn't scratch the glass at all.
