Great read

The book was certainly up to expectations and has been great in helping me with the start of my dog show judges "career". Previewed other books in the same vein but thought this was the best.

A must-have for learning canine structure and anatomy. As a competition groomer and someone who shows dogs, this book has been invaluable in learning everything from gaiting my dogs to strategically trimming them to show off their best attributes!

This is an excellent book on canine structure and terms. Not only does it give good explanations but uses graphics (pictures and drawings) to demonstrate. It's a must read for breeders and dog sports enthusiasts.

Fabulous book, should be required reading for every breeder & dog show judge.

This was a very good book, no doubt. It would have helped immensely to have more photos or illustrations of features being discussed, especially fronts & rears.Overall I didn't find it that helpful. I'm sure the seminar another reviewer mentioned would've been really helpful where things are being demonstrated. I'm not sure I'd read this again since I'd already read "THE DOG IN ACTION" by Mcdowell Lyon. I found a few word-for-word matches in this book and "AN EYE FOR A DOG" by Robert W. Cole. I hope this was unintentional by both authors.

Terrific Book. Arrived as expected. Super reference material

If you want to learn about the structure of dogs, this is the book for you. Be sure to check out the live seminars the author and his wife put on.

Everything great!

I purchased this book from the author while attending one of his Canine Structure & Movement seminars during the spring of 2006. This particular seminar was focused on sighthounds, and being a newbie to the world of sighthounds I found both this book and the seminar immensely informative! I highly recommend people interested in dog sports to purchase this book; and it will also give you a head start prior to attending one the author's seminars!

Wonderful book! A wealth of knowledge to be read in this book. I've learned so much that I would have never learned from anyone else!

Great book if you are showing dogs or just want to understand what a well balanced dog should look like. It is great for the beginner or anyone who wants to "bone up" on what they already know. I would highly recommend this book.

This book is right on, with very accurate descriptions of Dog structure. Every person who has Show Dogs, or is involved in the Show Ring should keep this book as a reference.
