Excellent enteric capsules
We recently got some 00 size capsules and found out that my daughter struggled to swallow them. So we got some smaller size 1 ones and it made it easier for her! To the point where she is able to swallow larger ones now, so we moved up to size 0 =) They do such a good job of packing them that even though the first ones came packed with something that tumbled around in the box with it, no capsules were broken, and in the last bag we got only one capsule was broken. And in this one I see no capsules broken. After we get them we put them into a large used mayonnaise jar to protect them because we're rougher than the inside of a shipping box. We like that these are enteric. My wife usually puts powder in the capsules and I usually use them for liquid. I've had no issues yet with one dissolving before I swallow it. I usually fill up 1-2 of them and take them within a few minutes. I have purchased capsules for less in the past but like these better. Plus it's a family business, and the ones I bought before I had to drive to get them - they didn't ship, so these are more convenient as well. Plus, XPRS Nutra has things you can but to put IN the capsules as well. I'm getting ready to check them out in that capacity, as I'm getting tired of all the shady supplement companies I've come across lately. Thank you for reading, I hope it's been helpful.

Good enteric capsules for bypassing the stomach.
Enteric coated capsules are used to release the contents after the stomach (usually in the upper tract of the intestine). Make sure what you're putting in these enteric coated capsules should not be digested by the stomach, but absorbed by the small intestines. One example of this would be if you're using anthelmintics or antihelminthics, which are anti parisitic herbs. I'm not sure why no one on Amazon is selling capsule filler machines in the US, but there are some on the Amazon UK site, but they don't ship to US. I've used The Capsule Machine for about 10 years, it's under $20 and fills 24 capsules and made in USA. I'm considering ordering a CAPSULE-IT Capsule Filler, it's $40 on sale but does 100 caps at once. It's drawbacks are you HAVE to fill 100 caps and it's not made in the USA. Anyway, back to these capsules. The $17 price for 1000 is very good. The capsules are easy to work with, come apart easily and stay together once pressed. None of mine were cracked or crushed. These enteric capsules arrive in a sealed and labeled bag. They are put together, so you need to take them apart to use. I do prefer the ones that are already apart as long as they're shipped in separate bags.

A large bag of capsules
This is a very large bag of capsules, ready to be filled with whatever herb or medication you might have. Note that these are enteric coated and will therefore resist stomach acid and make their way to the small intestines. If your filling requites activation by stomach acid then these are not for you. Note that size 0 is a fairly large capsule, yet similar to those used in some herbal preparations. See comparison of size 0 with size 1 capsule in photos. I purchased these capsules to make it easier to take herbal medicines, especially things such as turmeric with black pepper which has too strong a taste to use without a capsule. The enteric coating ensures that the contents will not be affected by stomach acid. I have to admit that purchasing 1000 units seemed like a good idea at the time; but if you are going to load these by hand for personal use, I'm not sure that they can all be used before the expiration date which is a little more than a year and a half from the manufacture date. I had not anticipated that capsules would have an expiration date; but it makes sense since they are made from bovine gelatin. Size 0 capsules are a bit larger than size 1 but are still easy to swallow and still large enough to load by hand. An automated capsule loading machine would be convenient but not is not needed for small quantities in my opinion. Photo shows the larger size 0 compared to a slightly smaller size 1.

Excellent value for enteric coated capsules
Enteric capsules have an acid-resistant coating that is intended to resist stomach acid and keep the capsules from dissolving until they reach the small intestine. This protects the contents of the capsules from being exposed to and being degraded in the harsh environment of the stomach, which can sometimes help bioavailability and reduce ingredient costs by allowing you to fill each capsule with less of the supplement or herb you’re encapsulating. Those benefits very much depend on the supplement or herb you’re encapsulating. In a few cases, the supplement you’re taking may actually need to be activated by stomach acid, and you can expect the effects of supplements in enteric capsules to be delayed by perhaps up to an hour simply because of the additional time it takes for the capsules to dissolve. But enteric capsules can be quite beneficial if they apply to your specific situation. I’ve ordered non-enteric gelatin capsules from XPRS Nutra several times in the past, and I’ve been satisfied with the quality and ease of filling. I can confirm that these enteric capsules are more of the same in those respects as expected. Given that you usually pay a markup of around 100% for the enteric coating, but the markup for these is closer to 50%, these offer a better value in both relative and absolute terms than many competitors. Highly recommended. Note: These capsules are also offered in a smaller quantity (and I’ve submitted an almost identical review for those). They’re exactly the same capsules at slightly less value for money, so I’d consider this product variant the better purchase.

Jumbo bag of clear, size 0 HPMCP coated gelatin capsules, all intact
These clear, enteric /delayed release gelatin capsules came sealed airtight in a bag. They were all intact. I'm not sure how I'd test whether these "entrric" capsules truely maintain integrity past the stomach acids, but they do claim to have an HPMCP coating, and the listing for this product notes that they are delayed-release capsules. could dissolve in the stomach or whether they would stay intact until getting to the small intestines, as ideally, enteric capsules should. I don't have a science kit at home to test the Ph at which these would dissolve. However, since they do have an HPMCP coating, they should, at the very least, be less quick to break down in the stomach than regular gelatin capsules. These snap together tightly, and will work well for filling with herbal concoctions I don't want to taste. I wish the manufacturer provided data on their enteric capsules, such as the Ph at which they should dissolve, and/or the extent of delay that these "delayed release" capsules are intended to have. That was information I was not able to find.

Perfect for making Supplements
I recently got these capsules so that I could make my own supplements. I am very pleased with the quality. They go together easily after you put whatever you are using inside. I like that they are easy to fill and once snapped together they wont easily come apart. They are enteric capsules which means that they don't start digesting until they have reached the colon. Make sure that whatever you are putting into these is ok to have in the intestines. I say that because supplements or any medicine for that matter has a stronger effect when they are not digested until the intestines. Just check with a doctor or physician to make sure you are making a smart choice before you just start taking them. I definitely recommend these to anyone who needs to turn any herbs into a supplement. You will love them!

Overall good!
I recently purchased the Enteric Coated Empty Gelatin Capsules and overall, I'm very satisfied with my purchase. The capsules appear to be of good quality – the gelatin is smooth, and they snap together securely without any issues. They are easy to fill and handle, which is a big plus for my needs. While I can't personally attest to the effectiveness of the enteric coating just yet, everything else about these capsules meets my expectations. They arrived in excellent condition, with no broken capsules in the package, and they seem to be durable and reliable. Based on my experience so far, I would probably buy these capsules again. They have been a great addition to my supplement routine, and I look forward to continuing to use them.
