Endless problems
Have had numerous serious issues with this laptop since I bought it. Every windows update breaks something else in the software. The Alienware command center app is a RAM hog. Playing WoW with discord open and the Alienware system monitor overlay was using 15 GB of RAM. The "Gaming mode" button that turns on turbo performance is also reportedly responsible for frying people's CPUs. I think mine is a victim of that as well. The PC overheats without the turbo mode on because the fans hardly work in normal performance mode. Mine likes to shut off randomly without warning or errors. I first thought it was overheating but it does it sometimes within minutes of being turned on for the first time in a day.Today, it shut off twice so I pulled the cover to check the battery connection. After unplugging the battery and plugging it back in, the PC would not turn on for about 30 minutes at all. It also now will not turn on unless it's plugged in, regardless of the battery charge, which remains at 81% and healthy according to the BIOS.Every update of windows or audio drivers changes the settings and defaults of my headphones to something else. There's are 3 locations of settings to choose which audio hardware you are using, and they all get swapped around. Having to dig through each one to figure out why my mic stops working for example, is annoying. These issues are far beyond my ability and desire to fix. In short, this has been the most problematic PC I've ever had the displeasure of using. And at $1700 it's laughably bad. A "Gaming PC" that overheats at idle while the screen is in sleep mode is just stupid.

Excellent design and product quality.
Very happy with the new acquisition, it was time to renew the old equipment. The offer was good when I made the purchase and when I received the Dell G15 it came with an additional box for greater protection. When I turned on the device, it did not cause any problems and the configuration process with Windows 11 is quite easy.I have been with the equipment for more than two weeks and it has not presented any problems in its operation, both in programs and in the equipment in general.A detail to take into account is that the G15 5530 model the keyboard lights up in a single color and the seller's images show an identical device that maintains RGB lights on its keyboard, which better refers to the 16" version and not to the 15.1" screen.Otherwise, the overall quality and feel of the equipment feels of very good quality despite being all made of quite resistant plastic. Take into account when transporting the equipment the weight of the laptop plus the charger requires a briefcase with good space.

Very solid gaming laptop
Very nice performance. It's about what you'd expect from a laptop with these specs. This thing is big, but it's not as thick as my previous gaming laptops so that's a nice plus. The fans do crank out and be loud, but that's to be expected from any gaming laptop. The IPS screen looks very nice, and mine came with very minimal IPS bleed. The speakers are ok, and the mic quality according to my friends sound like an Xbox 360 mic so you may want to invest in a decent headset.

Update is Key!!!
Ok, so this laptop needs updating. If you’re thinking about getting this, my advice to you is UPDATE the drivers!!! Especially the Intel ones. It didn’t run to its potential until I did this. It’s super fast, running at well over 100 FPS on the latest games.

Biggest drawback comes with Windows 11
I have had this now for month's and it works nicely, though when playing music it has a tinny like sound to it, but then again it is a laptop and not a desktop. It also has Windows 11 - which I HATE ... coming from a Windows 7 64 bit laptop. Advancement in technology is not always beneficial. Plus the added costs of the various subscriptions to get what one wants. At least my old Microsoft Office package still works on this and I can avoid the 365 subscription fee.If it is not broke, then why fix it?Companies today seem to design things to become outdated as soon as they are sold. I am old school, you do not replace something until it dies. My old laptop a Dell XPS (15 years) finally died hence the upgrade.

This is Alienware inside Dell case out.
I purchased this for CAD for a CNC design/ editing. 4k video FPV video editing and Flying FPV drones in a really realistic simulator. The experience is exceptional. Feels as if I'm flying the real thing. If wearing the fpv goggles. It's almost indistinguishable. Really fools the brain great experience. Extremely powerful processing. For a laptop. Metal case, thin screen Alienware command center. Awesome i9 is amazing RTX graphics keyboard feels great like a quality should. Great value for the money Alienware without the Alienware price tag.

Lesson Learned
You see the price and the rating and you think to yourself, wow! That's a great deal for those specs! You see the 4 star rating and accept the risk. And now you're reading the one star reviews like you should have before the purchase.Absolutely nothing but issues from the moment it was unboxed. The screen won't turn on. The only way to get the computer to boot was performing a hard reset by holding the power button for 35 seconds, and using an external monitor. Computer bluescreens during setup. Flashing error codes 2 yellow, 4 white.Overheats while idle / sleeping. Completely unusable and a tremendous disappointment. Easily the worst purchase I have ever made in life. Owned for less than 24 hours before requesting a refund.
