ONCE AGAIN...!!! Review "Once in Mumbai, Mr. A finds his match in Sunehri [Aishwarya Rai], a petty yet clever thief. She makes him an offer he finds very hard to refuse. A partnership! Aryan accepts. And so the game begins, a game of cat and mouse, a game of good v/s bad. The cops -- Jai, Shonali and Ali -- are after the robbers -- Aryan and Sunehri. From the deserts of Namibia to the backwaters of Goa, the mean streets of Mumbai and the ancient forts of Rajasthan and finally to Rio, Brazil. DHOOM 2 is modeled on the lines of the chor-police sagas that Hindi films specialized in the 1970s and 1980s. In essence, it's not a path-breaking/inventive story, but what takes the film to dizzy heights is the sequence of events that unravel at a feverish pace. Right from the start of the film [Hrithik's first heist in Namibia; the robbing of a crown from a moving train] to his next target [robbing a precious diamond from a museum in Mumbai] to the theft in Jamnagar [Hrithik and Ash come face to face for the first time], the film whets your appetite from the word 'Go'. In the first hour focuses on the cat-n-mouse game, the second hour changes tracks as it transforms into a love story. While the scenes between Uday and Bipasha [in a dual role] are cute, the ones between Hrithik and Ash build up slowly. The pace drops intermittently in this hour since the thrills are reserved for the penultimate reel, but a number of worthy sequences in this half conceal this tiny blemish. Note the turning point in the tale -- the revolver sequence between Hrithik and Ash and the lip-to-lip kiss that ensues; it's an outstanding sequence from the writing, execution and performance point of view. The pre-climax -- the robbery of man-made gold coins -- as also the climax chase are breath-taking as well. DHOOM 2 is director Sanjay Gadhvi's finest effort so far. The execution of the subject is such, you just can't help get transported to a world of make-believe. Gadhvi has handled a number of sequences with aplomb. The Hrithik-Ash sequence mentioned above is one of them. The dialogue between Hrithik and Abhishek -- after they've known each other's true identities -- is another. The final scene of the enterprise [it would be unfair to reveal it here!] is yet another sequence that indicates that the director has done his homework well. Pritam's music is fair. Barring the 'Krazy Kiya Re' track and the title track [filmed on Hrithik], the score is outright mediocre. However, the saving grace is the vibrant and energetic picturization, which takes the songs to another level. The choreography of the title track by Shiamak Davar is outstanding. Vaibhavi Merchant's choreography of 'Krazy Kiya Re' is admirable as well. Salim-Sulaiman's background score is highly effective." --platform47.com

Rollicking good fun
This is a cracking good kick-back and relax movie. Nothing sordid, nothing particularly violent, it has a cute whimsey all its own.Bollywood does action. With a side order of dance sequences that really do need to be seen to be believed. Hrithik Roshan well deserves his reputation as one of Bollywood's finest dancers, he certainly can move and really sets the screen alight in the rather ordinary songs, which certainly don't push the envelope musically. But he isn't just a great dancer, he breathes life into his character Aryan (Mr A) despite some really rather slight writing, he brings depth and emotion to the story. From start to finish, he steals every scene he is in.Yes, there are holes in the plot. And the moment when Aryan and Sunehri get up at 6 a.m. to jump off a cliff together does have you scratching your head a little, but they look so spectacularly gorgeous doing it, it doesn't actually matter that you ponder what the significance of such a move might be.I have several Bollywood movies on dvd. This one is rapidly becoming one of my favourites. It brings a smile to my face whatever the situation or the weather.

Very funky
Being a Brit got this out thinking okay lets see what it has to offer. Very funny film easy to watch, some really good dance moves and music take it for what it is. It is not a bad film to watch.

Good move, bad disc.
Movie Score: 5 Stars. My disc was, however, not working properly. DVD player crashed and quit on several occasions, all of them on scene switches. (With "scene" defined as as new scene in the scene selection menu.)

Impressive dance scenes
I was disappointed with this film despite the impressive dance scenes and music! It felt a bit deja-vu so similar to the first Dhoom film, I kept waiting for the story line to change!

Enjoy the party!
The first time you watch this film, you'll wonder what all the fuss was about. Alright, so it's fun cop romp with great production values. On locations and props, no expense spared. The stars have never looked more gorgeous (although I think the costume designer had something against Ash- how did she walk in those shoes, let alone steal anything?), the songs are catchy and the dancing unbeatable. As ever, Hrithik steals every scene he's in and the chemistry between him and Ash is palpable. Happily this version actually employed a professional on the subtitles, unlike the rental version I saw where the English subtitles didn't make sense, even when the cast are speaking English! But don't expect the plot to make sense. Why are they jumping off a cliff at 6am? Who knows? Who cares when they look so beautiful doing it? And don't expect Oscar-winning acting. Only Hrithik impresses, with the remainder of the cast mainly settling for just looking glamorous. Boy, are they glamorous! Then, against your better judgement, you'll sneak a second viewing - the jaw-dropping stunts or Hrithik's green eyes or the fantastic dancing will lure you back. And this film just gets more and more fun, the more you watch it. I don't even know why. But believe me, if you want a good time, kick back, turn off the brain and enjoy the party! What a party!

Action packed film
This movie is a hundred times better than the first or the third movie. The chemistry between Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai is beautiful. Loved this movie so much. I watch it whenever I have any free time.

Disappointed
What a waste of moneyThis is a "B" rated movie made with the intention of cashing in on the popularity of the stars. Hrithik Roshan and Abhishek Bachclan performances were tolerable. Aishwarya in this film can't dance, can't act and was an embarrassment. Aishwarya is scantily dressed in some scenes for no apparent reason - maybe it's to titillate the male film goers but in my opinion discredited the filmThe story line was good but the script and performances by the actors let the film down. I was bored.Sorry folks but I have been weaned on Aaimer Khan films such as Ghajini, Fanaa, and Lagaan etc. Completely different genre but what class!!
