Great! Excellent! Exciting! All things you will find in this book. You have a overbearing mother that will do anything to keep you under control. She has her own issues that cause this rift in her personality, which interns give you a crazy life. Well worth the read.

A Return to More Engaging Writing. Recommended!
I stopped automatically buying Lynsay Sands’ books and checked them out from the library first, because there were several later ones that I hated. Then I stopped reading her books...period... and vowed not to waste my time reading anymore of them. Then I received a notification that this book was on sale, and I don’t know why, but its synopsis appealed to me.I’m extremely glad that I purchased this book because I really enjoyed it. It doesn’t have quite the charm of her earlier books, but it came close. The hero, heroine and supporting characters were engaging. The romance aspect was different in this book, though.. ***SPOILERS***The initial meeting and falling in love between the hero and heroine did not appear except in explanations given by the hero, because the heroine’s mother wiped it from her memory. This was a crucial element in the plot but it did remove some of the romance element from the story. It was still entertaining but I would have preferred the initial meeting and memory wipe to have bee shown in a prologue. Nevertheless, the romance element was still good, just not as outstanding in some of the author’s earlier works. The controlling mother was the first villain and her characterisation was great. She was thoroughly despicable and it will be interesting to see how she acts once in future works. The second villain was well done. He didn’t appear by name until towards the end of the book, but the possibility of an unknown villain and his presence were foreshadowed during several conversations. After all, there were only so many possibilities for an unknown mortal villain. I did not feel that he appeared out of nowhere. This book had flaws but I consider them to be minor ones and I still enjoyed the story. The writing has improved greatly, though, and has returned to a higher standard reminiscent of Sands’ earlier books. Maybe this book would be closer to four stars for many readers, but it made me happy when I was reading it, so I felt it deserved five stars. There were a few minor editing mistakes and there were a few mild sex scenes.I recommend this book.

Lyndsay Sands does it again!
Finally I got to Elspeth's book! In this one, Elspeth moves to Canada from London and re-meets her life mate Wyatt whom she had met 4 years earlier but didn't remember. Her mom Martine is a real piece of work, and was super controlling for over 100 years. That portion of the book really upset me. Then Wyatt had to be turned and they had to solve the mystery of who was trying to kill Elspeth. There is a bit too much exposition at the end in order to solve the mystery and rescue her,I at least wasn't disappointed with Elspeth's book, though I found myself liking Beth's book better FWIW :)

Wonderful as as always.
A great book from a series of great books. If you've ever been or had a "helicopter parent", you'll definitely find this book of special interest.~~~ POSSIBLE SPOILERS ~~~Elspeth is 142 years old and her mother is still trying to micromanage her life. All Elspeth wanted was some time to experience life like other "normal" people. Go to the movies, eat popcorn, girls' night out, and a million other things that most people take for granted, but her stifling, prison-like home life with her jailer-like mother had all but destroyed those dreams. Somehow, every time she'd reached the end of her tolerance, her determination seemed to suddenly disappear and she would find herself again back in her mother's grip, with no real memory of why she'd changed he'd min,Elspeth thought she'd escaped her mother's smothering by fleeing to Canada while the rest of the family had been vacationing. However, just six weeks later, Mom shows up, along with her two sisters in tow. To further complicate her life, someone might be trying to kill her, and even more astonishing, she realizes she's met her life-mate. Wyatt is a Canadian Special Forces hunk with a surprising secret of his own. He appoints himself Elspeth's personal bodyguard and their attraction gets even stronger. Wyatt is certain there's more than meets the eye with Elspeth and her family, so while trying to protect Elspeth, he's also trying decide why Elspeth has friended his elderly grandmother, as well as answer a question that's seemingly chipping away at his sanity. If Elspeth doesn't get killed by her deadly stalker, the explosive attraction between her and Wyatt just might do the trick instead.

Such an Amazing Story!
I loved Elspeth and Wyatt's story. So many twists and turns. I loved G.G. the sweet bar owner for immortals. All the characters kept the book interesting and flowing smoothly. I love all this series!

Good story
This book was much better than the last few books. It started off slow then picked up. Was interesting and had mystery and action. I liked all of the characters.

They keep getting better
I have had a break from reading, then I decided you know what I need a good read, and once again these books never fail, never a dull moment and a beautiful ending.

Very enjoyable
I liked all the characters, yes even Martine! I think the author, at the end of this book, should have touched briefly on Aloyusius’ reaction to Their son going missing during his meeting with Elspeth.

Another great read from Lyndsey Sands
Well worth waiting for, the adventure continues with another Argeneau meeting her lifemate, and a great who dunnit. Can't wait to find out what happens next and how the enforcers are getting along in South America.
