Whenever I buy these pre-filters, it’s always from a random vendor, and whilst they are always decent, they are always quite fine. This means they clog up relatively quickly, which affects water flow through the filter. These are coarser than normal, and work very well.

Perfect fit and stops mess getting to pump causing less problems

Came flat packaged which was fine for sponges. But on inspection they are not as pictured. They are like flat sponges with pockets cut into them.They didn't fit properly over the intake and kept falling off.Poor design. Gaps around the neck will reduce performance with filtering and saving babies.

The media could not be loaded. I was very disappointed with the Pawfly 6 Pack Aquarium Filter Sponges as they look completely different from the pictures. The sponges arrived flattened, almost like a sheet of paper, and it's impossible to reshape them into a proper cylinder. Additionally, the structure is much sparser than shown in the images, which means they will allow even large debris to pass through in the aquarium. These sponges are practically useless, and I'm now left wondering what to do with them. It feels like a bad joke from the seller. I now understand why a single sponge from a reputable brand costs £6-7, while this pack of 6 costs only £4. I will never make this mistake again. These sponges are not suitable for anything. I strongly advise against buying them.
