Key Words: 4a Things we do

A brilliant series for teaching children how to read. My children who are just learning to read, love them and the beautiful illustrations that accompany the text. Also it is nice for children to read books that are just about everyday life and things they can relate to. I would highly recommend this series to anyone who would like to teach their children to read.

Got these for my grandson. He love the books

Having taught 2 children to read, and previously tried more modern readers such as oxford learning tree and songbird phonics, I am firmly of the opinion that you cannot beat Peter and Jane. It is a well thought out reading program that builds skills and confidence in everyday language.

Great book, mixed level of reading and words throughout this book. Very good, pushes children to sound out new words and keeps their interest too with the story

My son finds these books very enjoyable but also easier to read for the stage he is at which is the great thing as they go up in stages. I'm very happy with this purchase

Love the full page picture for each page of text. Great size font and uses repetition to aid learning, new words are slowly introduced. Great for 4+ age range

My son is 4 and was not interested in reading, however these books have definitely helped him. I remembered them from when I was a child.

I like to read to my son and daughter. The key words booking can help them which is the key word in a sentence, this can be improved them love to reading and understanding.

I can not recommend these books enough. My 4+ yr kid learned to read with the "Key Words" series of books published by Ladybird. The systematic approach is very good and the pictorial presentation along with the reading really help the kid to learn and understand rather memorize it. I feel so great when my kid read small sentences from the newspaper and major credit goes to "Ladybird" for this GREAT reading material for kids. I am now buying complete set. Hope this review is helpful in your decision making.

Really great to learn to read. My daugther had some difficulties to learn reading. The first book she was abble to read alone was this one. She won confidence. Perfect

This review is similar to my review for this particular Ladybird series. My siblings and I all used the Ladybird Peter and Jane series to learn how to read English as a second language, uh, 30+ years ago, and I just had to get them for my son now because I know how I was taught using these books and know it is a tried and proven method and series of booklets. I was so happy to find they were available on Amazon NEW for a reasonable price! They still look old school and exactly like the ones I remember. My husband thought it was crazy that I was getting what looks like outdated art and reading material and questioned my purchase in the beginning, but he can't argue the fact that his very young son is reading now and doing so well with phonics! I still can't believe I was able to get the whole series on Amazon! Love it!

My kids just enjoy these books and I like how it helps them progress with there reading and word skills
